I have my website setup to take Google Checkout Payments

Bank transfer is my preferred method, but I also use Paypal, Google Checkout, ePassporte and if all else fails, cheque.

Thanks I'll probably just offer Google Checkout and PayPal as options to keep things simple, unless someone specifically requests otherwise..

That's a good idea about Paypal, I hadn't thought of that.

I accept paypal bank transfer and cheque. Most of my clients prefer to pay by cheque.

I'd definitely recommend it, especially if your doing a job that's £500 for instance, you'll get charged £20-£30 per time!

I offer Paypal but haven't had any takers yet.

 

Most people pay with cheque or bank transfer.

I'd be reluctant to get paid by check to be honest, so I think I'll stick with PayPal, Google Checkout and Bank Transfer.

I prefer cash But majority of the time its cheque.

Bank transfer is generally how my client's prefer to pay, and how I prefer to accept payment.

 

 

For clients outside Australia I use PayPal.

I always use paypal... sometimes bank transfer if within the country..

I usually accept PayPal, but then end up wasting all the money I earn on ebay because i don't want to pay to transfer to my bank!

Here in the States I take Check. It's a bit of a hassle but Paypal takes a cut and technically it's not allowed to pass the charge onto the customer for the payment system. But I guess who cares right?

 

I do have a paypal account setup. Maybe in the future I'll start taking Paypal, I just prefer the method of going to the bank to deposit a check.

Who says? I charge a fee for customer's wanting to use PP, I personally think the fees are the wrong way around anyway. It's there for convenience for the customer (it can be used to pay via Credit Card, for example), why should it cost me money?

 

A transfer from the US to UK will incur a charge on the sender's end (or so I've been told) - PayPal effectively shifts this charge to me, that seems unfair to me.

 

At the end of the day, if the client does not want to pay a fee then transfer or cheque is there for them.
