What's google wave?

the next big thang that will overhaul email and communication over the internet (probably), sort of a cross between google docs and email, it tracks changes too so you don't lose any info as you edit, should be great.

My initial impressions:

I got my invite to Wave today. It is interesting I must admit. It looks like it'd be great for coders to pass along code and communicate. I found the realtime text updating rather surprising... I believe this will teach people to choose their words wisely in a heated argument. I wasn't too thrilled with the changes in terminology however... this is a setback in my eyes as people will have to adjust to the jargon of Wave before getting a hang of it. That could cause Wave to start up slower than Google wants. It feels like it's lacking on a lot at the moment, I certainly hope they have truck loads more planned for it.

Agree! Find this quite strange as sometimes i type something, look over it and then decide it's good to go! This is defintely quite unnerving.

Basically in the bottom left corner is a friends list, click on the "+" button and type the wave address of the people you want to talk to.

 

Then start a wave with them and send mesage

 

Edit: What you give out is the nickname you signed up with

Sometimes you have to put @googlewave.com on the end of it though, for example mine is "stocker1990" but some people might have to put "stocker1990@googlewave.com" lol.
