July 5, 200917 yr Hi guys, I posted on here a while ago looking for feedback and it was valuable input so here I am again. I have modified my portfolio site and I would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks! http://www.ormanclark.com
July 5, 200917 yr Its a very good looking site, but I'm not sure about all th escrolling, I know that the links jump to the sections as well, but if it was me, I would have just used seperate pages. But like I said, it is a very nice looking site. Good work.
July 5, 200917 yr very very nice site. again, i'm not a huge fan myself of the scrolling thing - perhaps its a fad or perhaps i'm just a fussy bastard... either way good work!
July 5, 200917 yr It's very impressive. I wish I could do illustrations like you can but I'm from a technical background and have zero artistic talent. I'm sure you'll be nailing those conversion with that site. It illustrates very nicely your skills and experience. Good luck with the site and I might even be able to put some business your way at some point.
July 5, 200917 yr Very nice, although the scrolling is a bit impractical, and using separate pages would have really helped your seo!
July 6, 200917 yr Looks splendid! I viewed it on Safari 4 on a Mac, and there's a little something wrong with the contact form... Check out the screen capture.
July 6, 200917 yr The graphics and colour scheme are awesome. Personally I'd have made a few layout changes. There are big areas of blue for example (towards the bottom of the home page). I'm not keen on the logo being fixed when scrolling, but that's down to personal preference I guess. Plus the site falls off the edge of my browser (on my 19" work PC) so I'd have narrowed the wodth just a touch. I'm being picky really, overall the site looks very cool. Good work.
July 6, 200917 yr Author Thanks for the feedback guys, much appreciated. Between here and other places I've got a better understanding of what it is people like/dislike. Its a very good looking site, but I'm not sure about all th escrolling, I know that the links jump to the sections as well, but if it was me, I would have just used seperate pages. AND Very nice, although the scrolling is a bit impractical, and using separate pages would have really helped your seo! I originally planned to have multiple pages but due to time restraints I had to stick to a single page. With that in mind I thought the scrolling would make the page look a little more interesting. Good luck with the site and I might even be able to put some business your way at some point. By all means feel free I viewed it on Safari 4 on a Mac, and there's a little something wrong with the contact form Thanks for that, noted, will try and fix when I get the chance. Personally I'd have made a few layout changes. There are big areas of blue for example (towards the bottom of the home page). Yeah I had quite a problem with the jQuery scroll on different browsers. It had a funny quirk that if the anchor it was linking to was within the viewport it wouldn't sroll (or jump for that matter) So to fix I had to make the height of each content area taller then any browser window. Can't quite remember what browser it was but thats the reason for the spacing. I may have been able to fill it better who knows. Thanks for all the feedback guys, I appreciate it.
July 7, 200917 yr Love it! I like the scrolling element. I think it exhibits your skills accurately, friendly and professionally. Really NICE! -b
