  1. If your current host will allow you or e-commerce software company allow you to install a blog then installing one is very important. E-commerce website tend to not get updated as much as a typical brochure website new seasons new stock then leave it for 6 months. Use a blog to get long tail keywords and promote your own products.
  2. Download the SEO tool bar from SEObook.com and use the rank checker. Best tool available...imo
  3. If it was me I would put three different website on all of them, and promote all of them with SEO. Depending on your niche you could get the top 3 spots or alternatively put blogs on the other two and update them daily add links and promote just one website.
  4. I think something like this could possibly work but would need to have a simple and clean interface. Like Google. Also it was very slow bringing back my search results. Took about 3 mins.
  5. Ha ha ha ha.... I was on daniweb the other day and somebody asked about anchor text yet his signature was full of keyword rich anchor text.
  6. Agreed but If I was in that situation I would possibly have two websites, if it's a high traffic keyword and your you have 2 results on page one. You will get good traffic and you can use each other website to promote each other. But you will need unique content on both website! This also won't bring fast results you might get a sandbox effect for a couple months.
  7. mmmm a credit to where you got your info wouldn't go a miss http://www.infosearchmedia.com/increase-we...evant-backlinks
  8. I hate to say this but non of your posts make sense, I'm sorry if your trying to learn but somethings just don't add up. Oh the signatures in post on this forum are "nofollow" which pointless if trying to boost rankings with forum spam. Just my 2 pence worth!
  9. I don't know if it's only me but i'm getting fed up with companies contacting me with outsourcing to India. I wonder if they know how annoying it's become! I'm getting now 15 - 20 emails per day offering the best service for price. Sure everybody needs to earn money but how can sombody contact you either using a free email account i.e. googlemail or have a website using a free template or have no website to be taken serious! This rant comes from the latest email today PPC management! I was contact from a guy from a googlemail account who spoke about having 200 experts in PPC managment ready to start working for $5 per hour! So my question is; How many email per day do you get? Would you ever consider outsourcing? I'm actually thinking about putting something on my website as it's gettiing so bad.
  10. Google Analytics is the only answer i think.
  11. Evening. Just thought I would share one of the most important SEO references I use. The link says it all. Search Engine Ranking Factors Might be worth pinning this topic Enjoy!
  12. @ Avera we nearly agreed on most things. Would be interested on hearing more on article submission.
  13. I would have to disagree It depends on what the link was. I work with a company who sell watches. They had PR5 Link, linking to them. The anchor text was "click here" the PR5 link was removed now the website has dropped to a PR3 from being a PR4. I think this has something to do with the PR decrease. Looking at the website's rankings they have not lost or decreased any traffic if anything it's increased. The only way to increase PR is by link juice from high PR websites. Just my IMO
  14. Bloody hell! Thats me without a job... What a load of rubbish.
  15. PR means nothing just something that looks good...
  16. Yeah it happend end of December 08. One month early http://twitter.com/mattcutts/status/1087531183
  17. Set up your correct geo target area in google webmaster tools. link build with UK sites only.
  18. A. directory submission (do you think) I wouldn't bother with any directory submissions apart from the big ones Dmoz, Yahoo etc. Directories now flood the web and often carry no weight. (If i can pick up 3000 back links from submitting info or paying somebody $25 to do automated submission is it really worth it?) Also a lot of the directories break Googles TOS, bad neighbourhood, non cached pages the list is endless. B. search engine submission Nope again I wouldn't bother, Google will spider your page from simply submitting your sitemap to Google webmasters tools. (submitting to 300 search engines packages are pointless how many times have you heard somebody just "search abc" never "google it". C. Link Building (only high pr site and relevant site.) Link building? Is very difficult these days and why spam is on the increase. If you buy a house worth £300k would you want to move it to a different estate with houses worth 90k? Doing that would decrease the value. Get links by posting good quality content people then link to you. D. social network Watch out on this one. It's been mentioned that google might be checking this reducing the weight they carry. As a user of Digg I always get requests to Digg something for a friend. This is why low quality topics are hitting the first page. E. forums posting A signature wouldn't go a miss but spamming is a no no. F. blog comment posting Due to all the spam it's become a funny thing. Instead of using your anchor text as your name take part. visit often and contribute to the post. You will have more chance of building a relationship with the author this might lead to a guest post or even a mention to your site. G. RSS submission Feedburner! That's all i use. Not sure on the rest. H. Article Submission Not sure on this one, producing content for other, usually spammy websites to benefit from also leads to duplicate content issues with links.. Not sure what Google thinks of this. I . E-book Submission Never tried it. ---------------------- Just my thoughts might be wrong but always worked for me. What i would say is SEO is it takes time!
  19. Hello or should i say good evening. I work full time as a SEO consultant also do a little web design every now and again. The SEO industry gets a lot of bad rep from sneeky tactics and low quality work when all the best advice is freely available on the internet! I will be taking part in the SEO section mostly!
