  1. Yep I sure did, I just wrote you back. Thanks everyone for such positive feedback. Please keep it coming!
  2. UPDATE: One thing that's odd for some of my visitors is having the portfolio and home page appearing to be the same page. This will not stay like this because as soon as I post an new post that is not a portfolio post then the pages will be different. Basically the portfolio past is just bringing up portfolio post from my blog. Great feedback so far, please keep it coming! Also, I would really appreciate it if you could take some time and comment on my blog post for some of my portfolio work. I'm trying to have positive comments and constructive criticism from the web community. http://www.puredezigner.com Thanks in advance everyone! ~Curtis
  3. I'm digging these replies, anyone else? Thanks in advance! Curtis
  4. Great design and very clean and professional.
  5. Code validates, site looks fine in IE6+, FF2+, Safari, and Opera. I would love to hear feedback on the redesign, layout, colors, and over all feel compared to my last portfolio website. Before - Older Website: http://www.puredezigner.com/v3.0 After - New Redesigned Website: http://www.puredezigner.com Thanks in advance for you time and wisdom! Smiling ~Curtis
  6. tables and inline css are crap techniques for content layout. Tables? are the the tags that begin in <table> and end in </table> = crap code for content layout. I have not used any table td or tr tags in my code at all. Non-valid code = you have more than 60 errors in your code making it nearly impossible to view the same across browsers. Please validate your code and repost your link for review. Good luck and I look forward to reviewing your site once these issues have been addressed. ~ Curtis
  7. I've had many people make recommendations to me about the direction of my website > http://www.puredezigner.com. So after a few months of the launch date, I've decided to make a new totally redesigned website, but while I am coding this out I'd like to give my visitors a revamped version before going totally new. I have tested this site in safari and ff3 for the mac, please let me know if there are any issues in FF2 and ie6+ The proposed revamp / temp site can be viewed at: http://www.puredezigner.com/img/testing/index.html In the process I am looking into ways to increase my SEO efforts, this leads to me ask, will links to useful web related resources such as this forum and other priceless site help or hurt my SEO efforts? they are all equal or higher in PR than my website. http://www.puredezigner.com/img/testing/portfolio.html Thanks in advance! Curtis
  8. Great feedback! anybody else have any comments, criticism, likes, dislikes? Thanks in advance, Curtis
  9. http://www.puredezigner.com/img/new_design-rev.jpg New revised design comp, what do you think now? Thanks in advance!
  10. Thanks for your replys. Anybody care to share their thoughts and creative criticism? I look forward to wrapping up final design adjustments soon then moving onto the css and xhtml. Thank you for your time, Curtis .: BUMP :.
  11. http://www.puredezigner.com/img/feedback-requested.jpg Redesign in down state http://www.puredezigner.com/img/feedback-requested-over.jpg Redesign in over state Please offer any advice you can to help the over all visual appeal and keep visitors coming to the site. 12. How long have you had your websites online? And can you recommend some techniques?
  13. Anyone else care to share there updates?
  14. Man to think I just launched my website, http://www.puredezigner.com back in the middle of July 2008. I remember reading about the PR updates that were taking place at the end of the July, that's when I was thinking to myself, man 3-6 months before the next update. But when I check my Alexa stat this evening I noticed something else. I just now finally had an update to my PR, From PR0 to PR3! It's a simple website based on CSS and XHTML validated web projects I have in my portfolio, non the less, I am very happy about this update to my first ever SEO efforts in web. I'd love to see examples and reports on how your current SEO efforts are going and possible results from from the latest Google PR update, please share your updates with us? Thanks, Curtis
  15. Yep I would either shift the thumbnails down or the headers of the portfolio pieces to the left to help the layout line up better, hope this helps.
  16. I like the first one better.
  17. @MolotovRuss I agree, great suggestion.
  18. I would use more of a grid based layout, lining up the thumbnails with the larger images on the right not the header above them. I'd like to see the thumbnails be the links and not just the text under them. The code looks nice and validates, always a plus+
  19. Great job! I am not a fan of all flash website unless very well executed, you my friend have done just that. I like your design and easy to navigation. Also could you please tell me how you did the transitions on the images. Can you point to the tutorial or a site to learn how to do that. Very nice work! Also check out swfobject to help load flash with out the validation errors.
  20. Great start, now jazz it up with some graphics and color, also the code is nice, congrats it's passing validation. This is the first site I've seen in a while on this forum that passes validation. Congrats!!
  21. Looks way to busy to me, I think the font you are using is very hard to read. On the plus side you did us css to create the site!
  22. Thanks dizi! I have been looking for something similar to this for while. What a great resource!
