Been working on a redesign for Ryanair's inflight magazine and am nearing completion. I'd just like some feedback form you guys on weather you think it works or not or what you think would be cool to add on the site or if I should take things out.

 

Please note i haven't made the code validate or work across all browsers(I tend to do that last).

I like it,

one suggestion would be to increase colour brightness and introduce some effects like gradients, and change a few fonts particularly on the navigation.

Great improvement, good job on bringing them into the 21st Century!

I like it. Personally I don't think it needs any gradients as I like the bold fill colours of the header and background. One comment, although a minor one, would be to use something other than colour for the hover state on the right hand menu.

Fantastically modernised, how'd you manage to snag RyanAir as a client ?!?!

 

The four boxes in the content (Ibiza Ink, the Big Bologna) need to have their hover state changed I reckon, losing the border is like you've hovered off of it. I'd maybe change it's border width to 2 on hover?

 

Just looking at the footer, design wise, I don't like the transition from dull bland blue badly merging with black, I would change it so that at the top of the black (before the black glow it has), give it a 1px light-blue line at the top, and then apply a gradient from white to black (top to bottom) on the solid-black footer. If you don't agree, I'll mock it up and you'll see the difference it makes

 

Lastly, the RSS button should be Orange before you hover, and maybe have an orange flow behind it when you do hover on it? It would be a nice touch of colour on the page that isn't blue, and makes the RSS symbol more recognisable.

Wow, though, that's night and day!! So much improved! No suggestions, just a comment .

Lovely design, nice type, easy to read - block serifs make it very "now". Perhaps a little dark? Nah, it's cool.
