I agree with @Dr. Laggy . Might possible that your website will get stuck with huge bounce rate. Also, It'll be little to worry about if your main website got negative impact through this.

Well, i dont have any site in my count that do automatic following. But i would suggest you that it'll be better if you go for manual instead of automatic. The reason behind this is, if it goes automatically then the chances of spamming would increase and in result may be your profile get penalized by twitter. I have tried with a twitter bot few years ago and in revert i got suspended there. However, i can suggest you two sites that actually help with genuine TG: followerwonk and like4like. MickyS, There are few points that i would like to suggest you: a. Ofcourse! you'll get benefit with Youtube but all depends on your presenting style. If you show some raw video, or i say promotion video without any deep meaning or profit, Customers will not go to choose your video, indeed. Instead, if you try to some healthy video that actually helps your TG such as: any video guidance related to your category or else. b. Put some quality level of description on Video description box. Though, you can put your link on description but keep it in mind that it should be relevant. c. Promote your video around your Target audience. Don't try to spread it in bulk to everywhere (where you have not your relevant category). Make it little bit sensible and in result, you'll get good traffic source on your site for sure. d. Tags should be sensible. e. At the end most important, if you are confused about your video then i would suggest to take help of some motion graphics experts. (Motion videos are in trend)
