There are several factors to look at. One of the main things is the advancement level of all four options. How does the school option compare to the other three options as far as learning is concerned. Normally the industry option is better because of the experience factor. Schools in general have trouble keeping up with technology in the industry. Schooling gives you a lot of stuff that has nothing to do with web design in a practical way. That`s another thing about the job option. Practial experience is always better because technology is moving fast. Whatever you need to learn, you can do it on your own and quicker if you have the right attitude and focus. The main reason companies hire graduates is because they hope they don`t have to teach them much. But again there are no guarantees.

I`m a musician, i don`t know if that counts but i like them all. They all look good, it`s a tough call, but if i had to choose i would go with the first one, it caught my eye instantaly and then i realized why. The only other thing i can mention is the feeling of the people for whom this is for. They will feel the style according to their musical concept, they will make the final decision.

Everything is changing constantly, which is good for the creative process. It`s important to create image, a certain goal should be focused on. What is your concept and how are you going to promote it. These are the things that never stop.

I agree with this, if its for your own purpose, it gives you plenty of room for content. I work with two programmers and we are making the rules as we go along, for creative purposes. I`m older so that helps me in the visual/image field as far as ideas are concerned. Their job is to create the program. Our next step is to go into the digital film side of content.

Very good comments made here, all are important, they represent an aspect of web design. I`m inclined to agree with the business aspect, as the most important. The main goal is to get clients, and it takes knowledge of the financial markets to get a good view in that direction.
