Hi! I have been asked to quote for a eCommerce site for a shop that sells custom made curtains, i'm happy in Zen Cart but there is no mod to allow the customer to put in the measurements (length and width) then the price is them calculated live. Are there any other eCommerce solutions that may do this easily? Basically they have this this website and want the same... Custom Made Curtains Thanks! Steve

Hi! Ok now I don't like IE8 (well i did not before but now even more!) I just completed a website www.multiglow.com and found I'm getting the IE8 warning in the bottom left corner stating there are errors: copy below: Message: 'null' is null or not an object Line: 33 Char: 2 Code: 0 URI: http://www.multiglow.com/downloads.htm This part in question is javascript for the CSS navigation bar at the top, and have found no way to resolve it, can anyone shed some light on this, as im not strong on Javascript. I did google it but nothing really resolved it. TIA!!!! Steve

Im looking at PHP/SQL solution, are there any recommendations? There are tons on the internet, but it would be great if someone has used one and likes it etc.. Hi! im sure it's possible, and am happy to looks at different solutions but I have only used Zen Cart but happy to look at virtuemart, Cube Cart, Magento. jShop paid or free versions) I have been asked to quote for a site in which they want a open shop for anyone to by a service (e.g. a photo session or wedding package) BUT also have a 'client only' area once the photos have been taken to purchase different sizes, canvas etc... Which solution would be the best to handle this? Thanks all!! Steve

Hi! As time is pressing on, I am getting a nice collection of stock photography, vectors and other general graphics I use in my designs. So my question is what do you use to keep them in order, e.g. iPhoto, Aperture, Lightroom etc.... I would be really interested to know! thanks! Steve

Hi! I know this question may of been asked a million times in other places and again it depends on your skills, but I'M after a rough guide for doing this sort of work, I'm no professional when it comes to SEO, but adding to directories and back-links takes time, but also I'm aware that SEO you pay a little more for than design work. Also with regards to directory listing is there a quick way for adding to multiple directories? Many thanks! Steve

SOLVED!!!!! :-) HI! This is so odd!!! I have designed a site using Dreamweaver (never had a problem before) and when viewing in DW and then Safari the site looks great. However look at it using Firefox (Mac) all the styling has gone, as in looks like no CSS file. tried on IE6 and IE7 and the same thing! I have tried a fresh HTML file taken it down the bare bones, and still the same issue. the site is here: http://www.athenadesign.co.uk/clients/test/ By all means have a look as I am al out of ideas!! Hi Jazzy! Sorry im 'ok' with CSS Im looking for a solution to enable me to create a template with logos/text which will be shown on every page i create, while still being able to edit the master template for example change the logo and that change will filter though the whole site. Thanks!

Hi! Having changed the way I create websites moving more and more away from Dreamweaver and to more independent Mac apps, within dreamweaver you can create a templates and add elements that will flow throughout the website for example a logo and footer copyright details etc... And then if you change the template the change flow right though the site. How can this be done without using dreamweaver and just by using CSS? Thanks all!! Steve

Hi! Im sure it's possible, i have created a site where i have 2 columns but I would like 4 columns for the second page and only 1 on third. Or is there a way to specify if no text are in the columns the column next to it will just expand in it's space? I read somewhere about a page ID which would then tie up to a particular style sheet? Or am my making this over complicated? Thanks! Steve

OK I asked the question about image maps (and thanks to all that replied!) However I'm looking to inject Fireworks HTML with the the header to allow links, now my question is how, im aware that it is PHP but can you just inject the code in that file? TIA!!
