Headache with IE8 and Javascript

Featured Replies

Hi!

Ok now I don't like IE8 (well i did not before but now even more!) I just completed a website www.multiglow.com and found I'm getting the IE8 warning in the bottom left corner stating there are errors: copy below:

Message: 'null' is null or not an object

Line: 33

Char: 2

Code: 0

URI: http://www.multiglow.com/downloads.htm

This part in question is javascript for the CSS navigation bar at the top, and have found no way to resolve it, can anyone shed some light on this, as im not strong on Javascript.

I did google it but nothing really resolved it.

TIA!!!!

Steve

the good thing about IE8 is it comes with the developer tool built in to it which means you will have it.

(previous versions require you to install the add-on)

the latest version has a javascript debugger which is actually pretty good at finding problems.

open your website in IE8, and press F12 to open the developer tools

click on the script tab and click on "start debugging"

this will refresh the page and will stop when the javascript error is found

the error is being caused by your animated menu,
