  1. Hi guys, Its been a while since I posted here, but I would appreciate some feedback and help regarding a project proposal I received from a client. My client is looking to launch a marketplace business where they can upload their suppliers products but they will manage the distribution and liaise with buyers. The site will have multiple sellers, all selling multiple products. Some of the functionality that they are looking to include are: Ability for a seller to view when they have made a sale (possibly ability for seller to update stock numbers) Ability to show each sellers product as a 'shop' I have only had experience with creating a straight forward e-commerce shop using Prestashop and Magento, and what my potential clients are looking is quite customised. I would like to know whether any of you have an idea on how this can be executed and what platform or add-on I can use if there are any. I have not had much info, just the ones that I have stated on here as I would like to get back to them with a fair idea of what can be used. Your help is very much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

  6. Thank you for all your suggestions, I have taken them all into account and made some changes already. Great pointers that Ive learnt so far eg: HTML image, and FB 'like' widget. Will NEVER be using them again! Cheers!
  7. Hi guys, So here goes... my first ever request for a review on a site Im working on. I would appreciate if you could please let me know what Im doing 'wrong' or 'right'. It's for a friend who is also starting out on her own business, I have kept the design simple but functional. Fine Art Nails Thank you very much x P.S Gallery link is still under construction.
  8. Well, Im was born in South East Asia - Philippines to be precise but grew up here in good ol' England
  9. Lol. I might have to agree. I'm from Yorkshire too, but only moved here 3 years ago, lived in Cambs before then
  10. Hi Rui, welcome, Im a new member too =)
  11. I totally agree. I started with no knowledge of HTML and CSS whatsoever. But I played around with it and with the help of tutorials, trial and error I am now at the stage of starting my own business. I have disected many wordpress themes too just to see how everything works. =) I dont think courses and certificates matter, as long as you can provide a good portfolio with clean codes then thats all that counts. -- and of course hard work and drive!
  12. Thanks for the welcome guys :)looking forward to getting to know you.
  13. Hi guys, a new girl on this site, not so new on Web Design, Ive been dabbling for 5 years (helping my husband once in a while, who is a self-employed developer) and for the last year and a half or so really considering it as a career option. I have even put my job search (nothing to do with design whatsoever) on hold to persue what I really want to do! Its a change, it's also a scary thing. So Im here to seek advice, meet like minded designers and to basically find out more about my new career choice. Eeeek!
