  1. I own a free online business directory and am curious what are some of the best ways to get more traffic to the directory? You can check it out at iypsubmit.com or click the link in my signature. Thanks!
  2. oops that is www.informit.com
  3. also i have found informit very useful for more technical stuff
  4. Adobe CS5 has some nice DRM tools integrated. Short answer is no though; there are so many ways to code a website that looks the same.
  5. Hi all, Wanted some criticism on my new website that allows free business directory submissions. I am trying to make it be a location based search directory. Cheers
  6. e-junkie is super powerful, cheap, and easy to use shopping cart that works on EVERYTHING (facebook, myspace, html, php, asp, etc)
  7. have you tried putting it in a wrapper?
  8. For me, I find that Thematic is cumbersome. I like being able to add code, and not write a bunch of functions. Personally, it makes things a lot easier to manage when you actually see the output on one file. OFC this is within reason, still using good coupling and cohesion.
  9. zoho.com has a ton of nice web tools that streamline business
  10. You can submit your website to free directories like www.iypsubmit.com
  11. Working a Seattle SEO and IT consultant, I can confirm what mrchristoph said. Most public organizations are just now starting to adopt browsers that use the "tabs" feature!
  12. Heh. Not to start a e-P****** match... but I've managed well over 200 successful SEO campaigns and I disagree with what you are saying whole heartedly. Long tails might have "low traffic" but frankly, if you are doing KW research solely off of traffic, then you're most likely a crackpot marketer. Let me explain: Say you get 1,000 visits per day for a search term that has 300k+ allintitle competitors, and a conversion rate of 3%. So you're getting 30 conversions per day -- WOOHOO. With long tail, you get maybe 1k allintitle, but you can target qualified traffic. So while you may only get 100 hits per day, you are getting 70 conversions. OG poster: If your strategy gets you there fast, you best have a churn-and-burn mentality b/c your site will not stick at the top for long. Time is a huge ranking factor, so be slow steady and methodical.
  13. Cheap, good, fast --> pick two. Personally, I don't bother with cheap clients anymore. The cheaper you go to make a "deal", the more they want.
  14. What is known as the "Google Dance".. happens as mentioned with data center coverage issues, and also when other sites are being indexed/re-indexed.
