  1. looks fine to me.. you should probly mention what browser you were using, what os (ie. 10.4, 10.5 etc) and what colours the site is suppost to be lol.

  3. its only 12 in canada thats my excuse i guess haha but i do good work at night too im a night owl as well.
  4. it looks kind of blocky. If that makes sense lol everything is rectangular and a single colour, though i don't think the colour combination is bad it looks kind of weird. Maybe make the borders a little smaller they stick out too much.
  5. I'm still in the process of coding my new wordpress blog / portfolio, which has been a pain (but fun learning new stuff). Anyways, i decided to use custom fields for the portfolio page. This is the code i used to display whats in the custom fields: <?php $names = get_post_meta($post->ID, 'name', FALSE); ?> <?php $descriptions = get_post_meta($post->ID, 'description', FALSE); ?> <?php $times = get_post_meta($post->ID, 'time', FALSE); ?> <?php $previews = get_post_meta($post->ID, 'preview', FALSE); ?> <?php $views = get_post_meta($post->ID, 'view', FALSE); ?> <?php foreach($names as $name) { ?> <?php foreach($descriptions as $description) { ?> <?php foreach($previews as $preview) { ?> <?php foreach($times as $time) { ?> <?php foreach($views as $view) { ?> <div class="contain"> <div class="preview"><?php echo '<img width="80" height="100" class="thumb" src="'.$preview.'" />'; ?> <?php echo '<h1 class="h1">'.$name.'</h1>'; ?> <?php echo '<p class="p">'.$description.'</p>'; ?> <?php echo '<h2 class="time">'.$time.'</p>'; ?> <a href="<?php echo $view; ?>" title="view" class="view" >view…</a> </div> </div> <?php } ?> <?php } ?> <?php } ?> <?php } ?> <?php } ?> I've tried a couple different things but this was what outputted everything i needed, now im stuck because it outputs every possibility when there should only be two different ones. You can view an example of what i mean here Wordpress Portfolio If you need more information i can give you some more no problem, but i no im missing something and i just need someone to help me out and trigger what im missing. If you don't feel like posting it and want to talk over msn or aim, my msn is lastcrime14@hotmail.com and my aim is lastcrime14@gmail.com. any help is appreciated.

  7. i played WoW pretty hard for a few months last year. I got pretty good then just got bored havn't played since.
  8. in a php page? Just a normal html page and then you add your php into it.. you can also wrap css styles around php.
  9. Download: 9251 kbps Upload: 578 kbps
  10. lol am i missing something or is it just a hidden thing? Is there a link to the site lol? I'd help you out if i knew where to look haha.
  11. Theres is no %100 tag for height, its not possible to declare this tag it can only be %100 width, you have to specify a certain height. Wat does you html look like that could also be the problem.
  12. really what version of firefox, and im assuming your on windows? i tested it with firefox on my mac worked fine havn't looked at windows yet though. Thanks for the reply.
  13. lastcrime replied to Tommy's topic in Hardware
    Ive used both pc and mac for webdesign, and i have to say i like my mac for desinging and coding better. Im not saying the pc was bad but i just like my mac better, i just prefer to use a mac over a pc so that may be why..
  14. I just finished coding my new wordpress blog, though i havn't coded it to work with wordpress yet i would like some feedback on it. You can see it here: WordPress Blog Thanks. BTW - I havn't even attempted to fix problems in I.E, i already know how messed up it is in ie.
  15. I think his concept is better but the site isn't complete, and i dont like his background picture. Because his isn't complete i voted for yours, because overall yoursite is better he just has a good concept.
  16. Did you make your own wordpress blog? Or did you use someone elses? Im assuming its someone elses, you have to use a ie hack and play around with it a bit until you get what you want. If you want to hide stuff from ie and show it in firefox, and therefore use something different in ie without affecting firefox use a hack like this. The stuff you want ie to see, make sure it goes before the hack (the one firefox can see) so that it is overidden by the second code. #nav { } Only shows up in firefox and hides from ie. html>body #nav { }
  17. Yah i had that before but i wiped my computer and forgot about it, i never knew you could do it with that. Thanks for the info, it will be very helpfull.
  18. Yeah i no lol i have to fix it up for ie, i need to find some time first. Thanks for the feedback Eskymo exactly what i was looking for, as for the blue swirls (that look pixely / jageddy) i was trying to give them a warn out look. phppenguin - How are you able to edit the stylesheet and view it again? I've always wondered but im not sure how..
  19. So ive spent my christmas break (well some of it) coding my portfolio, once it was done i felt like coding more...lol so i decided to make my own wordpress blog theme to match my portfolio. Anyway just looking for some feedback so i can fix it up a little bit, you can access both from the links in my signature. thanks.
  20. I use photoshop only cause im really familiar with it, the new fireworks is quite good though i havn't used it very much it is pretty nice. I agree that fireworks is more geared toward web-design but i still think photoshop is a much better choice.
  21. I was thinking of using this as a portfolio site, just wanted some feedback on it first... btw i just dug this up, designed sometime in the summer and totally forgot about it. You can see it here: Click Here To See Design
  22. this is a great website made by the people at pixel2life, helped me out greatly when i was starting take a look: http://www.slicingguide.com/
  23. my screen is 20" and its a widescreen so im pretty sure its not the screen its just your site. Its not there anymore lol but i noticed you fixed some things up nice.
  24. a bunch of errors in this site lol, thats great that its valid code (I personally like valid code as well) but the site is messed, lol it says you look at it in every browser yet its not even working properly, lol you should have looked at it before you went live. Anyway some spelling mistakes on the home page, the colophon the text half way down goes outside the content borders (and overlaps other text). Your calendar is messed up as well, it says its both the 9 and 10 of october. Also on the colphon the leave a reply goes outside its "box" as well. Other then that looks pretty good. One more thing lol, you talk much about being all valid and what not yet your site has no valid css or xhtml tags from w3c, i think you should put the on there to give people looking at it more trust that you have valid css and xhtml.
