I've set the target to 'blank' and ensured that the PDF files have been uploaded to the web server, but they still won't open properley - heres the page - http://www.beautyboxworcester.co.uk/ourtreatments.html Wondered if anyone has any ideas or could help please! Thank you all in advance.
  2. Hi all, hope you can help. I need to create some sales mail shots for my company to send via email in PDF format. I'm going to create them in PS, but I'm unsure as what would be the optimum file size to save them from PSD to PDF. Also, does anybody know how to create 'hover over' links which work on low resolution JPEGS sent via email? Thanks everyone I really appreciate your help. Riggers..
  3. Thank you very much for the reply - I appreciate your advice!
  4. Thanks for the reply buddy! I've done this. Thank you.
  5. Thanks for the reply! I didn't realise that. I thought that because I uploaded the site with the meta tags included in the 'head' section google would automatically pick them up. Just seems odd that 'Bing' and 'Yahoo' have indexed the site though. Thanks again!
  6. Thanks, I'll give that a go!
  7. It's been live for about 8 months now.
  8. Hi all. Wondered if you could help me. I've set up this site for a friend of mine. Here's the site and I've entered the key words 'Dodderhill court livery' into the description meta tags. But I can only get the site to come up in Yahoo and Bing search engines and not Google. Can anyone help? Thanks all!

Hi all. I need some help! A member of this site has very kindly recommemded that I use Lightbox2 for some nice images pop up effects on my gallery page. So, i gave it a go.. On the face of it, it seems very easy to download all the required scripts, correctley link all the images with the lightbox CSS files, and to ensure that the proper script tags are entered into the <head> region. Only problem is, it just doesn't work at all.. argghhh! Would someone take a look for me? Please?! Heres my gallery page http://www.dodderhillcourtlivery.co.uk/gallery.html I'd really appreciate any help, thanks everyone!!
  11. Hi thanks for that.
  12. Hi all. Wondered if any of you could help & advize me. I'm creating a site for a friend and I'd like to add some type of image pop up effect for a gallery page. I heard that Jquery or some other type of script would do the job. Or, can CSS handle this type of effect? I've already created a CSS rollover effect, I just need to finish the pop up/image swap. (I have larger images for the pop up) Here's the link - http://www.dodderhillcourtlivery.co.uk/gallery.html Thanyou all very much in advance!
  13. Thanks buddy. I've checked out those links - very useful!

Hi all. I've got a few websites behind me now, and I've a reasonable amount of knowledge of CSS & HTML, but I've come to realise the importance of using 'heading tags' into a site. As a amateur, I've allways struggled getting these tags to render in IE7 (and ealier) without the classic margin collapsing issue so, as a consequence I allways avoid using them. Before I embark on a new site, are there any tips you all could recommend that I use as part of the preparation stages of a new site, with the <h> tags as a priority? Thanks in advance everyone, your advice & help is most appreciated. Riggers....
  15. Hello all. I recently uploaded 2 of my sites into google analytics. There's so much data in the site, I just can't understand whats going on. What are bounce rates, page views, page visits etc..? Anyone know where I can find some video tuts which could easily explain this? I know I sound a bit wet behind the ears, but I am an amateur & I've only created 2 sites and I could do with some advice. Thanks everyone in advance for taking the time to read this, and for replying! Riggers....
  16. He he! Yup, I think everyone has made this mistake once or twice.
  17. Thanks to all of you who have viewed my post. I've installed the tool kit to DM, and it works really well. I loaded a fake item for sale in my sisters web site, using the 'add to cart/buy now' features, and paid a quid for it. Low & behold, that quid showed up in her account! Thanks all!
  18. I use PS CS4, but before then i regularly used an online editor which is pretty impressive.. http://www.pixlr.com/

Photoshop creates PSD files so, you'd need PS to edit one. Or if you can find a programme that will decomplie a PSD file.
  20. Hi all! Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of using the webassist tool kit extension for creating paypal shopping carts? Thanks all.

  23. Hey all! I'm trying to figure out how to create a css based rollover for a link, using images. I going to have six images placed horizonatlly inside a div and on rollover, I just want the colours to reverse out from themselves. I haven't started yet but, I'm thinking, would my html/css look something like this for the link?: <a href="http://www.webdesignforum.co.uk"> <img src= "gifs/myimg.gif"></a> # mynavbar:hover { background-image: url(gifs/myimg.gif); } An example of what I'm trying to acheive is shown on this site (4 images at the bottom of the page) http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/hiphoprnb/ Thanks all - I appreciate you'll taking the time to have a look and help me out!! Riggers...
