May 22, 201115 yr Hi all. Wondered if you could help me. I've set up this site for a friend of mine. Here's the site and I've entered the key words 'Dodderhill court livery' into the description meta tags. But I can only get the site to come up in Yahoo and Bing search engines and not Google. Can anyone help? Thanks all!
May 22, 201115 yr How old is the site? Sites can take a while to appear in search listings. Because your site appears in Yahoo/Bing it probably means that there is nothing more you can do. Btw Bing powers Yahoo search so they should show the same results.

May 23, 201115 yr ^ That. Google doesn't search the web for new sites, you have to submit it, so it knows you want your site to be indexed. Once Google has received this, robots will go and index your site, and rank it on Google accordingly.

I thought that because I uploaded the site with the meta tags included in the 'head' section google would automatically pick them up. Just seems odd that 'Bing' and 'Yahoo' have indexed the site though. Thanks again!

In some cases keyphrases (two or more words) can create a better ranking as there is not as much direct competition.
