  1. Surely that depends on the market that the site is targeting? no point in sending a battleship to sink a bathtub.
  2. There are loads of cheap / free resources online that will help you. No such thing as a reasonable budget, what are you trying to achieve?
  3. There are probably better ways for you to make this happen as suggested by charliesaidthat
  4. As far as I am concerned its looking at how someone is ranking for a phrase and working out why. In terms of how it works, you need to go off and do some research as it would take to much time to explain.
  5. Its to do with site speed which is a minor ranking factor, I would think that there are better things to look at in the first instance. The site title in your snippet seem rather uninspired for instance.
  6. Are you talking about combining to improve site speed, if so that is a minor ranking factor.
  7. What Rallport said but also it is probably best to vary the backlink anchor text as far as is reasonable.
  8. I am not a huge fan of either nothing looks as natural or replaces good hard work...
  9. Agree with the above comments. I would get the .co.uk and the .com version of the domain if possible but only to ring-fence the situation (assuming that the company is UK based) Keyword domains can be effective but many have speculated that redirecting loads and loads to a single domain may annoy Google (which makes sense if you think about it)
  10. As you say Flash is not ideal in fact its not even close to being ideal for SEO, not sure what your asking here.
  11. As Faevilangel states you shouldn't have a problem provided that the content remains the same that includes, text, titles, alt tags, internal links, anchor text etc. You also need to ensure that you aren't hiding any of your old content in flash files or similar as this may have an adverse effect. Hope this helps clarify things.
  12. <meta name="robots" content="index,follow"/> that wont help you. Have never had a problem with Dreamweaver myself but just building a site will not do start to build relevant backlinks if you can and then see if it gets indexed.
  13. I can recommend www[dot]openmindhosting[dot]co[dot]uk
  14. What do you mean by finalising the SEO are you talking about link building, please elaborate and I will try to help?
  15. Well with the state of the education on most HND's / BA's I can tell you that we are all self taught t.c. The most important thing that I have learnt going freelance is that I am no longer a Web Designer / SEO but a seller of my services, a book keeper, administrator, receptionist, well you get the idea. You will learn more from forums, books etc than you can in a classroom in my opinion.
  16. Most bad or irrelevant links will be ignored by Google. However all links are not good links otherwise how would Google Bowling work.
  17. Hi pt1978 Good SEO should begin with Keyword and Competitor analysis making judgements about the easy win phrases that you can concentrate your efforts on. All on page on-page and off-page work comes second IMHO.
  18. Hi everyone, look forward to seeing you all in the forum
