Hi Guys, been a while since I've been here! I have a question regarding Shoutcast. I have a Shoutcast server and when the stream is live, I want some text on my site to automatically appear to state the server is live with a live to listen. Is this possible? Ahmed

UKFast have mentioned it's possible to have a sub directory run on a seperate server but I was not convinced. With regards to SEO, having a blog on a directory has more benefits than having it on a sub directory (for the particular site we're working on!)

Ah yes however unfortunately in this case we can't do this due to the SEO benefit of having a blog in a subdirectory

Hi Guys, I have a bit of a DNS issue and hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I'm trying to setup the subdomain - beta.domain.com on a different host to that of domain.com. The current name servers for domain.com point to Actinik's servers. I've been given an A-record (new host - united hosting) to point to beta.domain.com however when asking the domain owner (another company) to do this via 123-reg's control panel, they mentioned it will affect the main site domain.com (which is hosted by Actinik). I'm confused as to how I can setup the subdomain beta.domain.com to point to United hosting without affecting the current website. Would one of the following be correct: Request Actinik to create a sub-domain and point nameservers to United Hosting Request Actinik to add the A Records for beta.domain.com to point to United Hosting Request the domain owner to make a change through 123-reg Hope I make sense!
