  1. I don't have as much a problem with the elements pointed out above. Only the logo background which is a bit of a schoolboy error and is easily rectified. Although I don't actually like the logo itself, it doesn't look very "designed". The colours are fine, I think the typeface is just a bad choice for a website about designers and could probably do with some sort of icon/graphic to accompany the words as part of the logo.

  3. Have you tried Yoast's WordPress SEO instead of All in one SEO? http://yoast.com/wordpress/seo/
  4. The Yoast SEO plugin is by far the best. It gives you full ability to control indexation for things such as tags, archives, and attachments. http://yoast.com/wordpress/seo/

Wordpress has come on a long way. It is no longer just blogging software. You can create almost any kind of site with it. You need to have good CSS skills if you are going to tackle the implementation of your own bespoke design but ere are thousands of free themes available that you can download and use. If you find one very similar to what you want your desired look to be it wouldn't take much effort to tweak it.
  6. What are your top 5 wordpress plugins you like to use? My favourites are: WordPress SEO - http://yoast.com/wordpress/seo/ Akismet - http://akismet.com/ Broken Link Checker - http://w-shadow.com/blog/2007/08/05/broken-link-checker-for-wordpress/ WP to Twitter - http://www.joedolson.com/articles/wp-to-twitter/ NextGEN - http://alexrabe.de/wordpress-plugins/nextgen-gallery/
  7. We have finally launched our long overdue new website at www.pipeten.com All feedback is welcome.
  8. How do you find their support? I've not heard many good reports.
  9. Care to elaborate on what is right and what is wrong?
  10. You can filter which parts of the site you search, we do exactly this on our blog, it comes up with a 'Refine results for' at the top of the page: http://www.google.com/custom?hl=en&client=google-csbe&cof=FORID%3A13%3BAH%3Aleft%3BS%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.pipeten.info%2F%3BCX%3APipe%2520Ten%2520Hosting%3BL%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.pipeten.info%2Fpipe10.gif%3BLH%3A51%3BLP%3A1%3BT%3A%23808080%3BLC%3A%236e1f42%3BGALT%3A%23367311%3BDIV%3A%23CCCCCC%3BNWS%3A1%3B&cx=004396556915762432183%3Aa6ggulwtjv0&adkw=AELymgV0islErWGwKpI9C6fJhxNuKcJ1XvEsJKwk8U-FH7TjEENE0AyDJa7YhOdgGL0vHPPVpH3XF6PpgAU_KOmA4dX46ENFTKd94HZ9CLkr8-kTf61hCRkxwarxpIdOnYvEez3M2UYgO6EHp09JHCRclEJ4jee9A6u1oYrhXFmc0hRcxw7jmto&boostcse=0&q=domains&btnG=Search
  11. I'd use Wordpress, it's dead easy to install: http://www.pipeten.info/index.php/2009/01/installing-wordpress-27-from-scratch/
  12. What name servers are listed on the domain name?
  13. Looks good, very minimalist. The only criticism is that maybe it is a bit too minimalist. You could maybe just add a tad more styling to it.
  14. To be honest I preferred the title in Green but I think it looks great, I think the blue and green work really well together. The only other thing is the grass is a bit long at the bottom, I'd probably compress that vertically slightly. Great work though.
  15. Looks very reasonably priced for UK hosting. Are you going to add any database scripting support or is it just for static sites?
