Well dizi, this site is packed full of Jquery lightbox and im too far into it to change them all the thick box or something alike. All im really doing here is using lightboxe's captioning system to create a basic open box with text in it rather than linked to any images. Everything works fine apart from the caption showing up on mouseover as an alt tag. It wouldnt be so bad but you can see the line breaks and a text formatting...which looks terrible. Just need to block the alt tag from showing, or finding a way around so i can have alt tags that dont show all the rubbish in the lightbox caption. cheers Aaron
  2. I think it looks good despite its lack of meaning lol
  3. Hi Guys, Ive been making a site that the client wanted to have as "lightbox heavy" so ive been using the lightbox (title=") feature to create boxes that popup with text in rather than images. One issue i have just realised i have, is that the links of words that are linked to the lightbox java script have alt tags that show everything in the title of the lightbox script on the website. I have figured out how to stop this with images, but with words i cant seem to find a work around. Any ideas guys? Thanks Aaron
  4. <div class="toaims"><a href="images/image1"rel="lightbox" title="1"></a><a href="images/image2.jpg" rel="lightbox" title="2"><img src="img/custombutton.jpg" border="0" alt="how do!"/></a></div> This worked Thanks for your help aswell
  5. Hi guys, Using this lightbox - http://leandrovieira.com/projects/jquery/lightbox/ Is it possible to have just the one link that opens lightbox with several images to look at rather than sveral links each going to a single image? Example of what im on about: "click here" (lightbox open) --Image1 (click next) --Image2 (click next) --Image3 (click next) Thanks peeps
  6. After a bit of tinkering, i did it there was no need to even go near the style sheet at all. Basically what i did, made a jpeg about 600px wide, and 10px high. Made that as the refernce lightbox image, then threw in a caption with the paragraph. Light box altered to whatever size the caption was awesome thanks for the help guys.
  7. I had a feeling that it wasnt possible. What i have been doing is making images in photoshop with a paragraph in them but as far as i know, unless my 'alt' tags are full of key words or the actual paragraph. Optimisation for wording in the image isnt possible, seeing as its just an image lol Thanks
  8. Hi guys Now i have Jquery lightbox done and set up, i was wondering if anybody here has by any chance managed to get text into lightbox rather than just images. Issue being, you cant optimize jpegs in any way can you? Cheers

Hi there I've been an apprentice web designer for a couple of months now and im learning new techniques all the time! Right im having an issue that im struggling to resolve on my own and from what my director has told me, theres little i can do to make this ammend. I have lightbox 2 running on a couple of pages on a website. Throughout the website i had, on the left hand side of every page a little news box with fading text, looks nice and neat. This was until i decided to implement lightbox on a page, the idea being that the user clicks on the link to bring up some text (saved as a jpeg). once these two scripts were on the same page, lightbox would not kick in, just open in a new tab. My main question is, is there a way around this so i can have the two scripts running on the same page?
