Hi guys, Being a car fanatic i spend some of my time on the autotrader website. Its absolutely naff since its redesign! So what sort of coding work would need to go behind a website like autotrader in order to make a successful more user friendly version of it? Thanks guys

Hi guys, Im looking for employment with any web design companies in the leeds area. Are there any companies on this forum that are currently on the look out for a web designer who wants to get stuck into a real job? If anyone does have anything to offer then please get into contact and i can send you my work examples, CV and discuss the current predicement im in... Thanks guys

It certainly brings some unknown issues to light. About what certain partners are were doing at university. lol

Logo's nowerdays are often simple but say enough. i would get rid of the glow around the boxes and change your font to "Boris Black Bloxx" which is a nice chunky font to work with on something like this. make the name white, without a glow aswell. should look good

from my limited but valuable experience all i can say is that every client milks it to death with what they can get for their money. Even months afterwards when the cms has been plugged in and the site is live, we get phone calls; "can you change this please?" "yes certainly, it will take about 4 hours to do that so thats £150.00" "But its only something little, why does it have to cost us" "Bbecause you want us to change the width and size of a box for more text, and its going to completely mess up the layout of the site" Jeese lol

Pea, with regards to networking i meant British Networking International, which from my experiences with my company isn't worth the money or hassle. I'm sure there are better networking opportunities out there as well. Could it be possible to only allow only British/American IP addresses through a filter?

Ahh thanks guys! the white space is going to have a html ticker, or i might develop a flash video for the logo. because i havent done anything that snazzy in a while

one way of getting business is through networking meetings but i wouldnt suggest it as a viable idea to invest into. the majority of people who work withing networking are also cursed by Barter Card. I think your idea is agood one, pursure it, it might be a keen investment for you and freelancers alike.

could much be done for the nav? i wanted it simple and clean to be honest. the idea of that slogan is to say that KO graphics logo designs could potentially knock out your competition with your business rivals.

Haha that sounds really good traxor i haven't yet but i shall check it out at work tomorrow.

hi guys, i used photoshop to manually create the 3d and the shading. took a while but it was worth it. the white space? i will sort out the word graphics smoothonline. thanks for the advice

there you go its nearly finished. the large grey area to the mid right of the page is just going to have a fading image html ticker or something. unless you can suggest what might look good there ?

CSS remix is really good for simple modern design ideas but generally i work with my own ideas and then move into CSS remix to see if there is a way of refining anything i think doesn't look as good

Sigur ros are absolutely amazing. I would love to see them live. Nice music taste mate

Right guys, I've started making my website so i can do a bit of freelancing on the side of my apprenticeship. Its mainly going to be focusing on logo and business card design with some web design but nothing too complicated like e commerce etc because i'm just not experienced enough in that part of the field yet. I do however have very well refined Photoshop skills, which is why i'm starting with those The main issue i have here is, i do not have anything to use for my portfolio page! But i do have a lot of photography work and concept designs. So what i was wondering is, can i use my logo concepts to put into a portfolio? If you want to see the design just let me know and i will post it. I just don't want to be slated if its not as good as i think lol (although there is nothing wrong with constructive criticism ) Regards

Sub Dub in leeds is great for a night out on the dub

I think we are, a slow low frequencey one lol. I think with dubstep, theres so many unknown artists out there, its awesome asking people if they have heard "Chainsaw Calligraphy" lol

Whats wrong with classical! you can get some truely awesome classical songs from out there. try this one "Max Richter – Vladimir's Blues" & "Vladimir Horowitz – 'Moonlight' Sonata" Those are just two. try and listen you never know matey Regards

Aww yeah when the dog... That was such a sad moment. Will Smith's film roles are always so good, he chooses his roles carefully indeed

lol Christoph, nice I have some right names for my freelance company but im not sharing

Generally, music without any singing helps my productivity when making websites so im what i listen to in the office isnt always what i listen to in the car. In the car its stuff like (what my gf likes lol) Bright eyes, snow patrol etc, the killers. I really do like Sigur Ros i would recommend those aswell

Lol, its meant to be paper, i made a few designs of paper but i couldnt find a decent line brush tool or anything decent so its that for now i will work on that and try to reduce the size of the site

Yeah, Boxcutter is amazing. most people when the say, "I love dubstep, i like caspa and rusko!" im like...jesus. Heard of Vex'd? lol pretty atmospheric
