Feels a bit dated, but...
I have seem a flicker when clicking on a portfolio piece, but only the first image. Once the background image caches, it seems all good. I'll keep an eye our for this and other weirdness.

Feels a bit dated, but...
Thanks all for the feedback. I agree with almost everything here and a lot of these suggestions I've been already thinking about. Thinking of renaming link up top to "Work archive", since I'm always finding cases were I need to reference something I've done. Also, making stuff appear on a new page is probably the biggest change I've been considering. Lightbox feels very dated a and really doesn't give any opportunity to detail the project.

Feels a bit dated, but...
I updated my portfolio site. Changed the overall skin and made it more readable. It's based on a 5 year old design. Was wondering what other designers think of it. I've been considering a redesign, but don't have the time right now. Let me know what you think and any suggestions on how to make it better. Lastly, if there is anything in the portfolio grid that is particularly weak and not display worthy. Thanks! http://www.serfme.com/

Thanks for the feedback. I made some tweaks to the grid to make it more consistant. Also, I removed the web cam animation and put a static image as a placeholder. Thinking of moving the contact form to about screen.

Give Me feedback > My Updated Portfolio
OK, crazy no one can get past the webcam like video, and not one comment about the work on the site. I'm rethinking the whole video now, since it was never intended to be the focus of on the homepage.

Give Me feedback > My Updated Portfolio
Wow, two votes for creepy. Maybe if I were better looking it wouldn't be so creepy. About the work on the site. Most of it was done by me and only me (believe it or not). Another thing to note, in the environment I work, expectations are somewhat unrealistic, so a lot of the time I'll quickly do a mock to present an idea. After I get buy in from stakeholders, I'll pass the project over to another team, a lot of times during this process the product will change. Most of the newer stuff presented is just that, conceptual work. Though 2-3 of my newer items was a group effort, in particular the iPad and iPhone news app. I do intend to provide more detail on the projects.

Give Me feedback > My Updated Portfolio
Totally agree with you. Grey text on black background is bad. I fixed. I guess I wasn't thinking people would actually read the intro I'm not looking for freelance work, nor do I want anyone to really discover the site without a direct link to it. It's more of a personal archive. So I guess I was thinking of the site as anything but but a shell. Hopefully it didn't turn you off too much to not consider digging in further. Creepy mug shot, I tried to do something different. Hopefully I don't get that comment again. -- Serafin

Give Me feedback > My Updated Portfolio
Hey all, wanted some feedback on my portfolio site. Some background. My site has been neglected for about 3 years, and recently had a need to update it. I considered a redesign, but not sure I have the time to do it. The site is on wordpress, a custom theme I built. I'm looking for feedback on my latest work, as well as the overall design and experience of the site. Warning, the site may be a bit slow and buggy, but overall, should hold up ok. Thanks in advanced... http://www.serfme.com/

Feedback On Latest Project
Layout and design are not bad. The logo is really weak. It needs some contrast, or use a better font and colors, bolder, etc.. Since the logo is front and center, it should really stand out. Also, not sure I like the symmetry in the header, in particular, the two cupcakes. Would look more interesting if they were 2 different icons.

Feedback on WordPress design
Needs more personality, it feels very cold. Also, it could have less bold. Bold headlines are good, but the copy doesn't need to be bold. Lastly, adjust the leading of the text, feels a little cramped.

Opinions appreciated on a before and after...
I like the old design is much much better. Centered text = blah Link colors against the background is tough to miss. Then need to be more obvious. Seems like your client has it all wrong. Orange, abstract, and edgy doesn't seem like a good design strategy with this target audience. I would recommend Teal (color synonymous with health), straight-forward (we're not dealing with the most savy of user here), and plain/easy to use (trustworthiness is key here). Good luck.

Early preview of new portfolio site
Hey, getting closer now to completion. I made some major improvements to how portfolio details are displayed. It's still a little buggy, but overall faster than going page by page. Let me know what you guys think.

Early preview of new portfolio site
Hey, thanks guys. I think I've overall happy with it. It just take so much time to get everything done in the timeframe I want it done. I just added an about me page. I need a copywriter!

Hey guys thanks. Have any of you guys played the game? We worked with an agency with it's creation.

Is This Too Simple?
It's close, definitely not overly simple. I think the problem is that may be trying too hard with that font. You don't have to carry it everywhere in the design. It's nice in the header and I see your intentions of using it as a navigation. I think you could probably compliment it with a clean san-serif below the header. The contrast I think will create more interest. I think you're off to a good start though.

Just launched phase 3 of this site, which includes a game. I can't really change anything at this point, but let me know what you guys think... http://www.indebted.com/

Please review my web site.
Some of the best "coders" I know, can't create a good looking website. My point is... learning the technology will not enable an average person to create a cohesive web experience. To be a good web designer you need to understand the fundamentals of usability, color theory, information architecture, page layout and graphic design. Since the link provided seems to lack these fundamentals, my suggestion is to focus on this, rather than learning the technology. Sometimes, learning the technology first can limit your creativity. I hold the same standards in web design for every site I see. I'm not taking into consideration this person probably isn't looking to make a professional career out of this and is probably learning in their free time. If this were a knitting website, maybe I would have given more kudos, but this is a web design forum. Therefore I have to assume this person is requesting the opinion of professional web designers.

A breathe of fresh air
I think it looks really good. The background design, concept and execution is near perfect. Colors are really nice too. Some critical feedback. 1. Logo, seems a bit weak compared to the site design. I think it feels a bit too generic. 2. Background could be a bit more randomized. Pollen, could come in from different sides or always be present. 3. Your nav text breaks to two lines in FF3 mac. It's Safari Mac it looks fine. I also agree with the comment previously posted. Best site I've seen in this forum I've seen. Good luck.

Please Review ......
Visual design is clean, but forgettable. Everything looks to be in place and function as it should, but nothing really jumps out or set it apart from similar looking sites.

Please review my web site.
Hmm.. With the animated gif graphics, color and layout, that site looks like a poorly designed website from 10+ years ago. I don't think learning CSS (or any other web based technology) is going to help your webdesign aesthetic. Your site lacks the fundamentals of good layout. Not sure what else to say...

Feedback needed for portfolio site
Design is not really that exciting, it feels very closed off and small. You should look to "pushing the envelope" a little more. Break the barriers and give the site an overall "bigger" look and feel. Also rather than time of day change, I think you should make section to section changes, at least then you'll get to show off the other illustrations for the one time user (which will be most - if you get any - of your traffic). Good luck.
