I just threw together a few ideas in Photoshop for a WordPress template. I am going for a minimalistic look and it's no where near finished, I just want your initial thoughts on the layout.

Nobody?

Does that mean it's rubbish? Or are you too stunned to comment? lol

The layout is fine, just needs to breathe a little... a bit more whitespace maybe - definitely more padding between your posts, and increasing your paragraph line-height will make it easier to read.

Another option might be to run the first post across those two columns and the other two underneath it. That way it won't matter how long the main post is so much (it'll look strange with a long one in there stretching all the way down the page with nothing opposite to keep it company).

Its a bit too pale and some of it is hard on the eyes (right hand column, pale blue with pale grey text). Needs a touch of contrast here and there. Also your banner made me reach for my shades

Needs more personality, it feels very cold. Also, it could have less bold. Bold headlines are good, but the copy doesn't need to be bold. Lastly, adjust the leading of the text, feels a little cramped.

Looks good. Just needs more padding, as mr p said earlier, as your text looks ever so slightly tight against the edges of the page.

Needs some bright accent or something kinda puts me to sleep.
