Guys,

Can anyone advise me on a good cheap video editing software that I can start using as a beginner? Maybe something a step up from windows movie maker which keeps crashing on me.

 

I use my Nikon D5300 and Samsung phone to shoot video and I want to string them together and add text to create short tutorial videos which I am creating for blogging purposes.

if want to spend money u can go for pinnacle ,avid, final cut pro or adobe premiere pro

For a free video editor try VSDC Free Video Editor.

I used the old version 2.3 before and having used windows movie maker before, VSDC had alot more features and just as easy to use.

in what way is avid outdated now? afaik it's an industry standard.

Hi,

Premiere Pro CC, it is affordable and you can create superb videos.

You can find some really good tutorials on Youtube.

Some of these have trial versions too. So if you only need to make a small video , you can get the trail . I suggest Premier and Pinnacle

I am used to Kate's video tool kit. So i would like to recommend this tool.
