Hey everyone.

I was just wondering if many people use Silverstripe for their CMS?

I run a studio called Studio Bonito and we are pretty heavily invested in it. Just wondered what the uptake was on this forum?

Had any experience with it?

It rarely gets any mention, a certain blogging platform gets all the limelight nowadays you know!

I did look at it a while back but didn't fit the sort of sites I build, I need a true "content" platform, Silverstripe is too "page" based for me.

I now and again use Silverstripe to create web sites. Do like it and would recommend it.

Hi guys,

Hope you don't mind me bumping this topic as SilverStripe have now landed in the UK: http://www.silverstripe.org/blog/silverstripe-london-now-open/

We're doing some work with them and their man on the ground Joel Edwards is looking to meet with developers and agencies who use SilverStripe to see how he can help them do awesome things.

I'd be interested in who on the forum is familiar with SilverStripe and what you think of the platform?

Hey Steve,

Its always good to hear about people using SilverStripe. My name’s Joel, I'm the SilverStripe Ambassador for UK & Europe. I’ve recently moved to London and opened a SilverStripe office here. A big part of my role is working with developers and organisation who use SilverStripe to see how we can help them learn, develop, promote and do awesome things with SilverStripe.

Another part of my job is connecting developers such as yourself with the rest of the global SilverStripe community. There's a lot of awesome things going on in the SilverStripe community but at present it seems the UK is a bit segregated, which is something i'm working to change.

One thing I have done which will hopefully connect the SilverStripe community is starting monthly meetups in London. It would be awesome to have you and others along to our next one on June 11 and at future events too. We will be having a few, full day SilverStripe Jumpstart courses in June and July when Sam (SilverStripe co-founder and CEO) is here in London. You can RSVP to meetups and events here: http://www.meetup.com/SilverStripeUK/

If there is anything I can do to help, please get in touch with me at joel@silverstripe.co.uk.

Hope to see you at the meetup.
Cheers

Joel
