I'm working with a metal roofing company and one of the things we're currently looking at is our choice of navigation menus, main pages, and how we guide visitors throughout the website.

I'm not happy with our navigation menus and how we've organized those. Any of you have some suggestions for how we can improve this?

 

We want our visitors to realize the beauty and need for metal roofs, be able to view some of our work, and ultimately to sign up for a free estimate.

Why don't you search on Google for your wordpress website theme that will match your business nature. Their are also paid website theme available whcih would be reasponsive and you don't need any designer for that website theme.

Looking at Dan's site then some sites from some of the competition from around the nation I've come up with some critique ideas. When you preview MSM's site you'll notice that when you compare your menu to theirs, it seems to be a bit small and almost camouflaged. It's like your menu wants to play ball with the big league but is a bit self conscious. A second thing that stands out is how clear the menu shows you visually where you are on the page and where you may visit. When you continue to preview some of the other competition like Fabral's site, RMR's site or Decra's site you'll notice that your menu lacks "Crisp'ness" to it (if that can be a word) Your menu does show you things but again it's like it's a scared little dude who has wonderful information for you to see, however he is a bit shy and lacks the confidence to stand out there and take the risk.

 

The drop down tabs are a bit vague as well. Other than seeing the actual mouse pointer on the display, it is very difficult to know what drop down tab you are on. The default style of the menu makes it look more like text along the bottom of the banner and not so much as a menu until you actually mouse over the words. I would bring that out more. Make it POP if I can steel a word from the 70's. Don't be afraid to stand out and be counted.
