November 11, 201312 yr It's that time of year where we need to start thinking about what offers we can bring for Christmas 2013, so it would really help us out if you guys n gals could post ideas about what sort of special offer would make you seriously consider switching hosting providers, or give another hosting company a chance with one of your clients websites. We've been around for a while now and we are now really looking to take on the competition big time. We've booked up advertising space in the Web Designer magazine, we've got a new website launching at the end of this month, and we will be taking on new staff to offer as close to 24/7 UK based support as possible, so this will be a great time to come on board and help us to provide our current and new customers with the best service possible.
November 11, 201312 yr Free domain is good, I recently wanted to buy a domain from my hosting (Bluehost) and I got it for free. That was very nice
November 11, 201312 yr Thought about % discount off on the hosting packages for just 1 year or for life?
November 12, 201312 yr Discount on Hosting package can be a good choice for Christmas, where as Choosing Cloud hosting UK means that your website is not just hosted on reliable cloud environment but regional hosting also lowers your load time with cloudways
November 12, 201312 yr Thought about % discount off on the hosting packages for just 1 year or for life? Agree it has to be over a period of time. Just offering 20% off for the first month wouldn't interested me
November 12, 201312 yr maybe have the Christmas period free (December and January) ... you can market it as a Christmas present to your users
November 12, 201312 yr Author Thanks for all the ideas so far...some great ideas. Last year we ran with a free domain on any package and that one worked quite well.
November 12, 201312 yr lol - you won't tempt me to switch very easily There's always the discount route, eg get 1/2/3 months free for the first year if signing up for an annual contract. How about a free book (eg web dev book), create a list of choices to suit most tastes 1 years subscription to a 3rd party service such as Typekit (for fonts), http://haveamint.com/ or any other web related service
November 12, 201312 yr I think a long term % discount is a great way to really get people thinking about switching. It offers a real tangible benefit that can be seen and felt in the pocket. Thinking about a free domain, don't most hosting companies offer a free domain when you sign up to them? Edited November 12, 201312 yr by Banongading
November 13, 201312 yr Author Thanks guys - I really like the idea of a subscription to a 3rd party service. That's something I don't think many hosting companies do. It would just be a matter of securing good pricing from those providers, so that may be one for the future. Yeah, a free domain name is all too common really. Maybe we could do a combination, but we'll see.
