Perstashop vs BigCommerce?

Featured Replies

Which one allows me to do more customization? I know that there are lots of templates for Perstashop and thats a plus.

What are other main differences?

It's worth comparing the core features on both sites to see if they match what you need.

BigCommerce probably has more standard features as default than Prestashop, but both have active market places for addons. As for templating I believe Prestashop uses the Smarty templating language whereas BigCommerce uses Interspires own modular templating system which is PHP based.

BigCommerce appears to just be a pay-monthly hosted solution, where PrestaShop is a self-hosted free solution.

BigCommerce might save you a lot of effort, while PrestaShop will give you the most flexibility as you're hosting it yourself.
