February 24, 201313 yr My real name is Vlad, i'm 19 years old, am studying Managerial Informatics and recently i decided to pursue a web dev career. I have been working in photoshop for 5 years, however i just made my first web site design 2 days ago(will post it on forum). Currently i have limited knowledge about programming but i am learning as fast as i can. By joining this community i hope to progress and learn new things from all of you. Because i dont have any experience i will probably ask a lot of questions so i hope you will bare with me. I plan on dedicating a lot of time because i know this is what i want to do from now on. Even though i cant contribute to this community yet, i will try to be as active as i can. Thanks!

We have a friendly and active community here with a great range of expertise. Learning programming can be daunting at first but you'll get used to it eventually and you'll also notice that many different languages and technologies share similar syntaxes, functions etc so that will make it easier. What languages are you currently studying?

Am using HTML, CSS , some JavaScript and now i just started learning PHP.I use teamtreahouse to learn, and i think it's the best source out there, it makes everything easy + it's interactive.Alsoif you can recommend me some learning sources i'm all ears. [] Foundsome posted in the forum, but i want to know which is best suited for abegginer.Will be reading trough threads and search what i need,also am interested in getting a SEO certificate in the future so i'llalso be lurking there.

Id say check out the book Beginning PHP 5.3 by Matt Doyle it not only teaches you the basics of PHP but it also teachs you OOP and using PDO instead of say the old mysql set of functions ofcourse the mysqli set of functions is acceptable to and are an improved version of the old mysql set of functions.

I'm sure you'll get a lot of help and answers here. I'm new member but I've already got quite some helps and explanations on several subjects, so yes, this is definitely a cool/nice forum.
