I am trying to design a website that I would like to rank on the first page of google. What are the points that I must be careful while creating the new web design and its layout.

stop spamming or is this claim "are experts in website promotion and search engine optimisation" a load of crap?

You claim to be SEO experts on your website, where does your question fit into that promise.

Totally wrong unfortunately - some of the advice/comments on this forum are dire. Layout is totally relevant, equally as important as content and links. If you think layout is irrelevant you have a very narrow and ultimately incorrect view of SEO actually is.

 

Agreed, layout is important. For example where and in what order content is position is one of the most important factors of good on page SEO.

This is a typical web designers view - no concept of how to build a site with SEO in mind. As long as it looks good it’ll rank well, right?

 

I've a checklist that I always make sure my web designers look at before they finalise a design. It's basically a list that makes sure as many of the current ranking factors (on-page) are fulfilled before the site goes live, making the SEOs job easier in the long term. Am lazy you see.

 

Not all areas of the list can be checked off on every site, as sometimes functionality and layout do compromise what can be done, but it’s a great check sheet to make sure what can be done is done. PM me if you want to see a bit of it.

Shameless pitch there. Don't really know what you mean by "Codding" - isn’t that something to do with Call of Duty or something...

 

Anyway, they guys not looking for a sales pitch, he's after some advice.

This is small suggestion from me (newbie...)

First one, we have to read the rules from google regarding Search engine optimization because there are two type of SEO black hat or white hat which you prefer? All about how to optimizing website you can find there.

 

Second one, do what you have to read from all member in this room and after that... take a lot of PATIENCE... wait and wait...and wait...

I have been looking around for this kind of information. Pls give more ideas on this? I’ll be grateful if any one will.
