Do you systematically send a full contract to the client even for jobs of less than $200 ?

Yes.

Would you give someone $200? That's what you could be doing if you don't get a contract.

Right, but for such low price do you still ask part of the money upfront ?

Yes I always ask for the upfront. Even if I work for an hour task of suppose $70 then also I ask for the upfront of $35 from the client. It doesn't sound cheap for me. I think the work done by honesty should always be paid, that's all.

Anything under £250 ($400 aprox) I don't send a contract but ask for full payment up front.

 

Its down to you really, no right or wrong way to do things.

 

However when I work with other designs and developers I tend to pay (for services) or ask for payment (for services rendered) within 28 days
