WDF: Upgrade Notice this Weekend

Featured Replies

Hey!

Just letting you know that I plan on upgrading the forum this weekend, it will most likely be tomorrow or this evening (If time). The overall look won't change but it comes with some nice features such as:

Twitter Integration

Members can now link their account with their Twitter account! - This includes syncing your status updates and having the same background within your profile area.

Status Updates

Enhancements to the existing member status system to include the ability to reply and more, you will also have your recent activity within your profile area (Much like Facebook)

Topic Preview

Preview the first few lines of a topic without loading the entire topic.

Profile Area

Default display will include your recent activity/status updates and also allow you to add a custom background image :)

Link Sharing

Easily share links from your community to Facebook, Twitter, and more.

Plus many more little enhancements.

All the best :)

Hey i just got back on the forum today been gone this weekend but i love the new features :D

  • 4 weeks later...

I was looking forward to the topic preview, but don't see it. Isn't that where you get a glimpse of the topic when you hover the mouse over the thread title? It' really saves alot of time when scanning all the topics to find specific issues.

Wow!

When you hover over a thread title, a small icon will appear to the right of it. Click it to Ajax load the first post in a sort of modal window :)

Thanks, Scott S. I didn't even see that icon there. Not very obvious, but now that I know about it, I will use it alot.

Cool, there's even a new iPhone skin, i've forgot to mention! :)

I would personally really like the ability to choose to use the regular site from my iPhone instead of the iPhone version.

Any chance of this being made possible?

I've got it running on my HTC Hero (Android OS)

Just got to get used to the layout and find where things are ;)

Hello Ben,

Is it possible to add "copy to clipboard" feature to code bloks?

Thanks
