Domain Name

Featured Replies

I have bought my first domain name to resell (amaturequeen.com) (don’t worry there is nothing on it) I was wondering where would be the best place to get it valued. Or even how much do you lot think it is worth. I have been on a few site already and been given quotes all at different prices (from hundreds to couple of pounds) and i got a feeling i been ripped of.

Pat

You say you feel ripped off which I guess means you paid more than £15 for 1 years registration.

I know it sounds obvious but your domain is only worth what somebody is prepared to pay for it.

You might strike lucky and have some wealthy sole trading under the name of your domain but it's a bit of a long shot. There are so many new domain suffix's eg .tv, .info etc. these days that I suspect that there is not much mileage in buying domains solely to sell on.

Did I mention that I find it very annoying too. It can be very difficult finding the right domain and it is extremely frustrating to find shed loads of domains parked awaiting auction to highest bidder.

I think he's looking to sell it on Ashley, not buy it :p

Damn. I was tired :blush1:

Hundreds of pound for a .com domain name and you feel like you're being ripped off?

You can get the approximate value of your domain by the site Thewebpole.com .Here they provide the domain appraisal service to get the value of a domain at free of cost.

Hi, through 123/GD/DM, you can sell your domain for the price you want e.g. £200. The result will be shown as a premium domain.

If people are not buying it @ £200 you will need to play around with the pricing.

Going down this route, you share the money made with the domain company selling your domain and the platform they are using.

Yes, you could get it appraised and then need to wait for a buyer etc. going down the route I suggest means you just need to play with the pricing week to week until it goes. Speak to Domain Monster Sam, he should be able to give you much more info.
