November 19, 200916 yr Hi all I'm trying very hard to find a plugin/mod/component etc etc that will provide me with the same layout, options and product settings as an ecommerce, only, not with the intention of selling, just displaying. Like an online catalogue of products on display. I'm having so much trouble finding something that suits. It's for a client, therefore it has to be as simple as possible, preferably not too much tinkering, which is all I can find at the moment! REALLY appreciate any advice, so thanks in advance. ST
November 19, 200916 yr have you searched through the addon sites for both WP and Joomla - there are plenty of ecommerce addons for both so all you'd need to do is disable display of the "shopping cart" elements, leaving you with a catalogue.
December 14, 201114 yr have you searched through the addon sites for both WP and Joomla - there are plenty of ecommerce addons for both so all you'd need to do is disable display of the "shopping cart" elements, leaving you with a catalogue. I have spent the last 3 days searching, trying, tinkering and everything, to no avail. Can you suggest any ecom plugins that are good at just being a catalogue? The best I have found so far is catablog, but I cant add custom "view this product" buttons, so thats another one down the pan. edit: wow old thread is old. Edited December 14, 201114 yr by jamesosix

February 25, 201412 yr Can't you just set up a custom post type in wordPress? With the Advanced Custom Fields plugin too it's pretty straightforward to produce a product catalog of sorts.
