September 11, 200917 yr Alright anyone and everyone, I think I've stared at this tweaked it for so long I suddenly have decided it might not be all that good or I've gone mental... Just looking at portfolio sites recently I think maybe I shouldn't have kept it as simple as I have. Any feedback would be good, design, code, SEO - anything, having a crisis on confidence it seems. http://www.cmdcreative.com oh if you have an iphone, try it on that and check the iphone version also if you can be bothered. Cheers Ty
September 11, 200917 yr Ah, another Manc. Well I actually quite like the design. It's simple, yet includes that bit of colour here and there to make the design 'pop'. The coding is also clean and the content seems well structured. I'm still not fully awake yet, so can't provide any more I'm afraid.
September 11, 200917 yr I think it looks great!!! Just spent about 10 minutes looking round it so somthing must have been keeping my attention!! Love the animation on the homepage although it wasnt till I scrolled down that I realised it was coming out of a box!
September 11, 200917 yr Author Cheers Guys, It's strange, I am getting good feedback here bad feedback elsewhere. I may change the homepage flash/layout and add some icons for the navigation as well. I think some of the bad comments i have had I should take on board.
September 11, 200917 yr I like it, it has a real feel good tone to it! Loving the animated favicon and flash effects... they complement the site well.

September 11, 200917 yr It is a nice design, simple layouts are often the best for portfolios as it lets the work talk for itself. Only one thing that I don't think works is the menus, it is fine really for the main one but it took me a while to realise that the sub menu on some of the pages were sub menus. So my advice is to look into making the menus stand out a little more so that they are easy to see and know that they are clickable
September 11, 200917 yr Author Bad but not unconstructive by any means: http://www.designerstalk.com/forums/showcase/50918-please-rate-my-portfolio-will-only-take-second.html I agree about the menu: it is fine really for the main one but it took me a while to realise that the sub menu on some of the pages were sub menus I am going to try an icon based thing (possibly with tooltips), I think that would fit in with the style better - the cmd symbol in the logo. Cheers again.
September 11, 200917 yr Really nice design mate. Simple yet effective! Would agree with the menus. I think if you just used a white block the width of the container behind the sub navigation, change the link text to a dark colour it would look better. A strong portfolio of work too. Nice!
September 11, 200917 yr Hi, It's ok but: 1) you have s bright multicolour logo, of which the font needs drastically changing, and then a dull grey and black design (and I'm a fan of grey/black). 2) the base of your logo and nav text should line up for neatness 3) the four quote boxes aren't very appealing - too 'square' and again dull. Try introducing some colour through the site an rejig the boxes to make it so regimented. Lining up is good, but not this obvious, 4) the Flash gets annoying very quickly. The paper is blank - is it supposed to feature your work? You have no work examples on the home page otherwise. Not quite there yet and again, a portfolio site that doesn't match up to the quality of work done. Now the examples are appearing out the box - might want to look in to that then. I'm on a MacBook running safari 4.0
September 11, 200917 yr Author I was worried about the flash, it is (or isn't as the case may be) loading images from a folder dynamically and my actionscripting is not yet good enough as it doesn't seem to work very well... I am going to loose the flash and rework the entire homepage I think and sort the nav out a bit hopefully this done I should be closer to a polished product. Cheers
September 14, 200917 yr Hey mate looks good. I would take away the grey background on the logo as I think it would look better without it. Also on the hompage I think the flash or is it javascript or jquery looks good but it only shows one site when you seem to have more than that, however I do like the effect.
September 14, 200917 yr You might have already changed the menu but on Chrome It spills over on to two lines: Apart from that I really like it, especially the contrast
