target="_top"

First, your website passes XHTML 1.1 validation...which is good. For me, the website is too simple and lack gradients and other effects. Personally, I don't like to see plain links as navbar items; it looks too generic. I'm also not a fan of the overall layout of the webpage as I think information of your webpage can be express a little better. On a positive note, I do love your color choice for this website. I think you need to work on the design concepts though.

Still need to sort out the farm market page as the content is still being pushed off the page (Safari) although now sure if you've attempted fixing it yet. Other than that, it's an ok layout. Add the necessary finishes and it should be fine.

I'd like to add to my posting. I had a client before who just wanted a simple site. Nothing fancy and no flash. No hover effects. And the bottom line was that though the design was not striking; it helps him get some business and income. And I've learned that it's not always having a super great design but functionality, user interface play an important role in generating business. And his target audience were traders; the type of people who were not particular about great designs. Just my 2 cents. Thanks

On some pages your content is sparse so the bottom o fthe container does not touch the bottom of the browser but the top does - and on other pages your content pushes the container bottom to the bottom of the browser and both top and bottom touch, make it uniform by adding a margin - that way it doesn't look so odd when going from a sparse content page to a full page.

To me it feels a little broken up as it is, Header one colour, nav background colour, main content pale green, footer background colour...split sections with black border. So because you have split everything in such a way with the black boarders and used the background colour for some of the sections its just feels like you have said...right I need a header, a menu, somewhere for the content and a footer and just made them all separate so that people can tell them apart right away. So this just makes it feel a little broken up and like nothing really works with each other on the site. Maybe if you add a background colour behind the nav and footer and remove the horizontal black borders that could bring harmony to your site and make it feel less like a cut and paste.

 

Centering text isn't the best idea for most text as it creates quite nasty jagged lines and has been proven to be harder for people to read, things like addresses are fine but you about text and home page text just looks a little poorly placed on the page.

 

Also is there a reason why your site is so wide yet you only use a small amount of space in the middle of it? It seems odd in the content section so wide that doesn't make use of the space so much. It just makes the text seem not considered that much as well as the placement of the image...its almost as if you didn't know what to do with it so you just decided to center everything. Especially when your logo isn't central to the header it just gives your layout this off balanced look

 

 

 

Anyway bad opinions over, the basic layout is quite nice, a simple menu is fine but it does need a little something to connect it to the rest of the site. Coding is great can't fault it.

I really don't know what to think. It's clean, easy to navigate, isn't offending to look at. It does look like a frontpage template though. I guess im looking at this site thinking, what the hell is the point of this?

 

Is it to sell the companies products/services? I dont think so, there are no mouth watering examples, nothing teasing me to follow the links, images in the header arent really telling me anything, and those pink flowers confuse the message.

I think the header is nice and from then on down the site could use a little makeup the page layouts hold some nice apps like the road planner and the image gallery just i feel the look of displayed content could do with some work on presentation and also the copyright at bottom could be smaller as this kinda jumps out to much for me.
