January 31, 200917 yr It looks okay but i would sort out the navigation. Put it horizontal in the header, because that's where most users will expect it to be. - Neil
January 31, 200917 yr Hi there, Well design wise I am not too keen on the header it looks a bit disjointed and breaking a word like "welcome" into to different colours draws the eye to read it as two words. The paint effect surrounding the site doesnt quite work looks like an overused photoshop brush the way it stops and starts in places looks like a bit of an after thought and dont really flow well. In your testemonial it states that as a company you have a clear understanding of SEO but your own site does not validate, you have 6 errors and 6 warnings, this will effect your own SEO. You also have a mailto link as your contact I would really consider changing this for a PHP contact form as you are likely to be spammed within an inch of your life. The site is also littered with typo's "Hostig and Maintance" for example on your portfolio page. Some things on the site just dont create a good impression, "If you choose the W-Web-Design© Platinum Design you get the full service." this statement suggest that if you dont choose the platinum pack you wont recieve a good service? Your tag line does not create a good impression either ""Your passion drives us" sounds like you lack your own passion for what you do, it looks like your saying you are looking to the client for motivation. I am sorry to be harsh but I think you need to get the site design set up and get it looking cohesive and complete, then concentrate on your copy, get someone to proof read before it goes live.
January 31, 200917 yr Hi It looks fine However, the main player on a website is what is read. I hope you find the answer it needs. Good luck
January 31, 200917 yr The copy is very important. Although it might seem small, grammar and spelling mistakes can make your site seem very unprofessional.
February 1, 200917 yr The copy is very important. Although it might seem small, grammar and spelling mistakes can make your site seem very unprofessional. More than that - it tells the visitor what you do, engages them, guides them. convinces them to buy, is the fundamentals of SEO, builds a stronger brand, differentiates you from the other millions of designers etc. etc. etc.!!!! On this note - just fix the typos, grammatical errors and tidy-up some of the windier sentences and your copy will be very good - it's well written, got personality and is selling (well done!). Add a pinch more punch and change the design to give it a bit more breathing room in places and it'll be excellent. For me the grunge effect doesn't match what you're offering and what you're saying with your copy (a common affliction for web designers) - you're pitching that you're designs are more than just graphics and text - they're "e-solutions" so I'd simplify the graphics and concentrate on making it a slick user experience.

Fix typos, grammar and other mistakes. Shorten the text and make it clear to understand improve seo and make customer wanna buy
February 1, 200917 yr Shorten the text and make it clear to understand Don't go shortening the text! It's doing well so just make it a little more concise - concise isn't the same as short. Just pep it up a bit.
February 1, 200917 yr ^^^ What does that mean? That you are unable to copy paste the url into your browser (or simply highlight and drag it to your tab bar?). On topic, I think the 'partners' bit at the bottom is unprofessional looking, offers nothing to the site and is misleading.
February 1, 200917 yr let's see.Very wierd and seems unproffesional. You tried to show great art skills with that header and the white margins. The problem is that it's all thrown away on the background. There's no border connecting it and there is no background for the website in order to make it different from the exterior I think it has potential but you didn't actually finish it. I think you should make the entire website a bordered container. Then use a white background for the interior/some black for the header and link stuff together then add some nice effects. But the header is really messed up.You kinda need to cut from it .I'd keep only from passion drives us to the bottom. Mainly,it really needs a redesign

February 1, 200917 yr No offense but your header reminds me of my 4 year old nephews art project. I asked him how he made it, and he told me, "we taped the paper to the wall and threw things at it and what stuck made the picture". It needs more structure.
February 1, 200917 yr Author okay i worked a little over the past hour and i came up with this front page??? what you guy's think can i work with that or still to bad.....to be honest i like it alot!!
February 1, 200917 yr 100% improvement in my opinion. I agree!! Even if it is another dark design, is it a sign of the times everything being designed dark lately?
February 2, 200917 yr Author I agree!! Even if it is another dark design, is it a sign of the times everything being designed dark lately? thanks guy's im gonna do the rest...oh yea i tried to do it white but it just didn't have the good effect as the same in black
February 2, 200917 yr No doubt,it's an excellent start.Though you still need to work a bit on it but it's much much better
February 3, 200917 yr The potential is there for a very strong website, but at the moment it still looks like a 1st draft! --------------------- DP Online

February 5, 200917 yr okay now i need some deep specifications on what i need to change? don't be shy i will try to fix it as soon as i can?? how can i make it"customer appealing"? cheerz! There's just too much to comment on. Firstly i see no grid, your 3 'headers' are lined up to nothing, they're not even centered properly. Must you really have everything centre aligned? Try doing everything left aligned. Your Logo is way too big and that design you have next to your logo should be 10 times smaller just so its the same size as the 'W'. Your typography is poor. You have no colour scheme, everything is black, grey and white. You need a highlight colour. There are no images. There are no logos. Mate I could be here all day. have a look at two of these websites for inspiration: Scrn Shots Design Meltdown By the way, out of millions of stock imagery out there why did you choose that one for your homepage?? Good Luck mate, you need it...

Good Luck mate, you need it... You know Pereira, and I am sorry but I have to say this, you are so negative, I have yet to see you actually like anyone's sites or designs. It is actually a good design, needs a bit of work and fine adjusting maybe, but nothing as bad as you make it. BTW if I were you I would get a proofreader for your site, it needs help as well. Also when you tell this person - "You have no colour scheme" you are actually saying he does, as the correct way to say it is "You haven't any colour scheme", and what makes you think he doesn't have any highlight color? It is a image, you can't hover over the links.

I am giving my honest opinion and i am sure he appreciates that more then if i were to tell him that it's all ok. Yes i know it's only 2 images but it would be quite strange to see colours on other pages and not the home page. And when i say 'You have no colour scheme' it's because i mean 'You have no colour scheme', black, white and grey is hardly a colour scheme in relation to 'web design'. And I do make some positive comments but I have learnt over the years that continuous bad comments has made me the designer I am today. Please don't try and crit my website, i do not remember asking you for your opinion, whereas i think your website could be a big topic of conversation in these forums! P.S I used to love the smurfs - and now you've ruined it for me ------------------------ DP Online

Please don't try and crit my website, i do not remember asking you for your opinion, whereas i think your website could be a big topic of conversation in these forums! I have yet to see one in the past weeks. As for my website, it has it's own thread and yes it has been picked apart and helped, but nothing like the comments you have made. As for yours, your post serves part of my comment for saying you need a proofreader, the word "I" is always without exception capitalized, on your site there are several places it is in lowercase and takes away from such a great looking site and what you are trying to present. There is a old saying, "opinions are like assholes, everyone has one but they all think the others stink!"

As much as I want to continue this conversation, especially as it seems soo productive, i won't. Besides I would rather have a few 'non capitalized words' in my website (which can be easily changed) than have a blue background colour which is almost blinding... There are other shades of blue you know.
February 5, 200917 yr ..... a blue background colour which is almost blinding... There are other shades of blue you know. Nope, adjust your monitor settings it isn't blinding, it is actually quite tame compared to true blue, and only smurf blue will do!
February 5, 200917 yr I'm surprised no-one has picked up on the jagged edges of the gif's? The ones in the header are static so jpeg's can be used. As for the ones in right column, they will slide up and down with the content so will need to have transparency, so PNG would be better solution. Page seems a bit long to me. maybe tighten up the dead space in the header to save on that scrolling finger. Although aiming for 'the fold' seems to a practice overlooked nowadays so no biggie.
February 5, 200917 yr Good Luck mate, you need it... This forum is for CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, how will that sentance help this guy improve his site or design skills? exactly it wont. Not everybody is at the same stage of development as you. the guy is asking for help. Do us all a favour Daniel, dont join the samaritans.

Well done, you just picked out 1 sentence out of a whole paragraph i wrote. Did you even read the rest, you joker. I gave him about 5 points and referenced 2 sites and all you saw apparently was the last sentence
February 5, 200917 yr Hey, I think your site is still in need of further improvements. You might want to fix the navigation bar. Every time I hover my mouse on it, everything shuffles to the right. (I'm viewing it on Firefox 3 on a mac) I think you should add your .css file as an external file. It is easier to edit and helps your page load faster! I see in your source code that you're using <br> continuously to give spacing between the paragraphs. You may want to use <p> for paragraph and set the distance between each paragraph in your .css file. And if you want to use .gif transparancy instead of .png, then when you save the .gif give it a dark grey matte I think it will help the corners of the rounded button to look smoother! ____________________ Well done, you just picked out 1 sentence out of a whole paragraph i wrote. Did you even read the rest, you joker.I gave him about 5 points and referenced 2 sites and all you saw apparently was the last sentence Hey Pereira I actually believe that people learn a lot more from critiques than compliments! Can you give me some feedback on what I'm working on? You can be as harsh as you want! Here.

February 5, 200917 yr Hey Pereira I actually believe that people learn a lot more from critiques than compliments! Can you give me some feedback on what I'm working on? You can be as harsh as you want! Here. I actually remember seeing this site in another topic, thought it was cool. Everything just looks the wrong way round. If you flip the whole canvas horizontally you would understand: I think the logo would look better on the left along with the text - the navigation on the right. It looks strange having the heading (welcome to...) aligned to the right, and the main text aligned to the left. Have them both aligned left and again placed on the left of the screen, with the large red clown face (which is probably what member T-break looks like) to the right. Do you really need that divide line on the right? remember less is more, if it doesn't have to be there then it shouldn't be. Hope this helps, Peace ---------------------- DP Online

I love the style of the tatoo place above. I just don't know how to do it! Im at the end with my Latin.... i wanna fix it and wanna make it look like a very serious and good site. If somebody could offer a little bit of time that would be very great? If not i need some tips cuz my HTML/CSS experience is not that big as you can probably see....
February 5, 200917 yr Well i'm prepared to say periera, sorry you'r an arsehole, but really lines like "good luck, you need it" are totaly unnecessary and I am sure a man of your inteligence can see that.
February 5, 200917 yr Right this stops now! This thread is for reviews of a website so please if you want to continue this rant then do so through PM. Everyone has an opinion on design, it is one of those personal taste things so some might like it others won't...it is what makes this review section good as people are willing to give honest opinions on what they would do differently. So leave this argument alone in this thread as it is really unfair on W-Webdesign.com that you are taking over his thread.
February 5, 200917 yr Author how is this....looking??? i wanna use it but...i don't have a flash editor??? i need some usefull (free) tools so ica n get my new GOOD looking website up maybe tonight maybe tomorrow???
