  1. Hey, Thanks for your reply. The idea is that I keep the page structure from an admin point of view so that I can still use Wordpress functions to create lists of submenu items. E.g: <?php wp_list_pages( child_of=3 ); ?> I just want the parent of each section to redirect to the first child rather than having its own content. Thanks, Sam
  2. Hi, I'm putting together a Wordpress site where there are lots of pages structured as follows: Information - About Us - Contact Us - Press Is it possible to make the "About Us" page appear when you go to the "Information" page as there is no content for the info page, its more of a category than a page. I hope I haven't been too confusing! Thanks in advance, Sam

  4. Can you give me an example of how I would use the date function to pick specific Fridays?

Hi, I'm currently working on a Wordpress site for a radio show and I'm trying to write a PHP script which will display text when the show is on air (Fridays 2-4pm). I've just about got the time part but I don't know how to make it display on specific Fridays as the show is not broadcast every week (e.g. no broadcast next week, Christmas Day!). I don't mind updating the script each year with the new broadcast dates if that helps. Here's what I've got so far: $time = date(H); if ($time <14 ¦¦ $time > 16) { echo "On Air"; } else { echo "Not On Air"; } Thanks in advance, Sam
  6. I suppose so. I'd still like to do it with Wordpress though.
  7. I'd have to pay for a commercial license and for the multi site manager - approx. 450USD.

  11. Hi, I'm currently setting up a few different sites on different domains (not subdomains) which use Wordpress for different things (e.g. site cms, blog engine, fav gallery) but they need to share the same user database and cookies so that a user can login at one site and be logged in at the others. Is this sort of setup more easily accomplished in Wordpress or Wordpress MU? A few possible solutions I've been looking at are: Wordpress MU and this plugin to map the different domains. (Does Wordpress MU automatically share users and cookies between blogs?) Multiple Wordpress installs using the same database and different prefixes sharing the user database using this method. (I'm not sure how this would work with the cookies) What do you think? Do you know a better method? Thanks, Sam
