If you had the chance what would you ask wizely?

Featured Replies

Ok Wizely has kindly accepted to do an interview for my web designer help site, so I was coming up with some questions to ask him and I have a few already but I have had a mental block.

So I was wondering what would everyone like to know?

I will pick the top 20 questions and anyone can suggest as many as they like.

Fire away...

1. What is the most important thing a web developer has to know?

2. When did you start web design

3. Why do you guy by the name Wizely?

Sorry I never stated this in original post we are asking Copywriting questions it's a special one off interview!

1 - why do you like copy writing?

2 - are you a fast reader?

3 - what grade did you get in your english/o level/GCSE ?

4 - if you could copywrite for any site, Newpaper, Business (anything really), what would you copyright for?

5 - If you copy write/sell your self in ten words what would you put?

What is his favourite position?

Tells you a lot about a man that does... :pp

If you wanna get interesting stuff out of him relevant to webdesigners, I'd ask him about how he organises his time (he always seems to fit in his work and plenty of fun-time) and about how he manages his clients...

Other than that, the only way to write an interview, is to figure out what you want to know (i.e. guess what you might be able to gleam from the interviewee) and then design the questions accordingly. Then there are always big open questions like what's the best/worst project you've ever worked on, or what are you most/least proud of (work wise lol)....

Thanks for that Eris it has inspired me to write a few more :)

1. What is your favourite word, and what word(s) do you refuse to publish?

2. How do you deal with clients who will not accept your good advice?

3. To what extent is copywriting a technical versus creative process?

4. What sectors do you most enjoy writing for, or dislike and why?

If I think of any more, I'll post again :)

Looking forward to seeing the finished interveiw.

That's good Emmi.

3 - what grade did you get in your english/o level/GCSE ?

GCSE/O'Level is this a kindergarten ;-)

Degree or Masters I think may be more apt!!!

Oh and a question from me:

- Why did your football team make my life a misery in 1986?

:flm7:

What is his favourite position?

oooh errr missus...obviously you have a large sample size (no pun intended) to base this theory upon eris 'cos else well it'd be unscientific!!!

That's a very salient point, Headcoat, and from what we know about your ... relationship ... with Wizely, I anticipate that it is one question to which you already know the answer :pp

Lol thanks a lot for the suggestion and I can see this going really well a few chuckles to be had and some great questions to be answered.

Feel free to some more out if anyone thinks of any :)

Most common mistakes (in copy)

Wow! I feel like a celebrity! Hopefully there won't be any pictures of me flashing my bits as I exit a car!

This should be fun and I'm glad to see not all the questions are dull and that some of you know something about little ol' Wizely, especially that I always seem to be on holiday (nice view of Hong Kong harbour out my window as I type)!

I hope you have photos of the places you have been I have thrown a few in asking for pictures, the interview should be ready for this weekend and then we can get it online the week after, so watch this space everyone!

Cheeky bugger! ;)

I've got a fair chunk of my photos with me on my portable hard drive so we should be good. You're out of luck on the older pictures (real old school developed prints) as they're in the UK in need of scanning (they're only 8 years old and I'll get round to it one day!).

I might even have some of HongKong by then and of the All Blacks smashing Australia this weekend in the Rugby!!!!
