Thanks..

I really like what you have done, the only thing I would say is perhaps you would need to move the company name and slogan to the right of the logo.

This will mean you can have it slightly larger for people to read PLUS your then working with a more retangle logo and not square which can be a little easier to use.

Maybe even add some orange again into the company name and slogan.

I agree with the above, maybe the media in the same orange? Also your top (and maybe bottom) people have shorter legs than the side people. Though that might just be as it is a small image?

Erm, not to start a debate but it also could be deemed sexist as they are all men ;)

It's good, but it's too... big? It's like because the logo is a big perfect square, there's no room for the name.

Maybe if you got rid of the guy atr the bottom, and put your name & slogan on top, allong the middle?

I did wonder that, but i think it would work if you put the text at the side? You could maybe loose a side person too and try that?

Its nice and all. But how does the bullseye and the people symbolise your company? Just interested to your thinking behind the logo?

The idea is good, but how about letting the people sit around "a table" instead of laying outside a bulls eye? ;)

Edit:

Got a little inspirered and made a quick little tweak. :)

Did it a little better:

I like where Sono is going, but I still think the Logo is too separate from the name.

I agree with Molotov, it seems that the text is being rejected by the logo, as has already been said, perhaps removing one of the men either on the right (with text on right) or on the bottom (with text on bottom) will make it fit togethor much nicer.

I don't know which font he are using, so I can't really change the text around with reducing it's quality. I just showed an idea.

In my opinion, this logo is too elaborate and needs to be more compact and simple. Imagine reducing this to a visiting card size or if you want to print it on a pen, you'd have to strain your eye to get it, and by then, your text and fonts would be dots.

All very good comments and sorry for the late reply,

The thinking behind the logo is that we are a group of people, who like to sit around and talk things through working to a central goal. (i.e the target in the middle)

Im not a graphic designer, never have been just work with shapes that are available to me.

"VentureMediaGroup" Is normally broken into colours.

Check www.vmstudios.net

The text does normally go off to the side and logo is pushed off to fit square against any slogans or taglines.

Thanks for taking the time to do that mock up - very interesting.

Its all been very constructive here about this one, and i'm really thinking about getting rid of the lower dude to push the text up. Depending on the media type though.

Also it may come accross as a bit sexist although that wasnt the intention, it just so happens the people im working with are all male.

Thanks again guys, awesome critique.

I seriously like it, Well done! :good:

I personally don't find the lack of a female in the logo sexist, but there may be some out there that do.... and they could be the businesses next potential big customer.

Other than that, a really well executed design. :)

Had a play

Pat

Pat, thats just awesome, I love what you did there.

Ill be keeping the men as they are, however i love your positioning.

Many thanks posters.

Just for representative purposes, I would have the 1 guy on top and the 3 on bottom (no sex jokes haha).

My thinking (changed slogan text, maybe u shud get rid of the middle guy on the bottom?)

Now that is sexist! You are assuming women cannot wear trousers and must have long hair and big breasts or something! How can you tell the sex of these silhouettes? Can you see extra 'legs' on each of them? Just teasing.

I'm late to this whole logo party but I've got to say that, for a logo, it looks way to big too me. I like each of the designs and think they would be great to use within the content - just not as a logo. For the logo I can see the orange dot and one black ring, along with the nice text, working so well when being picked-out by the more elaborate image in the content.

That looks like a bunch of firefighters who want me to jump down.

i think the logo is just too big! its a nice concept but its not working if you ask me. When that gets scaled down it will lose its detail and wont make any sense

Quimp, inspired feedback have me in stitches. :D

I don't like the original, it just doesn't say logo to me. Love the way you've all chipped in, what a brain storm.

What about this, simpler is often best.
