  1. It definitely is not organic indeed but sure do that a lot use this method specially if their other websites are ranking good. Maybe try on the organic side of SEO, that means you got to start from the basic of SEO. Also, websites keywords are really competent so you need really lots and lots of patients for it.
  2. I would say New Media but Web Dev suits too.
  3. Get some content for your page and not just any content. Then have someone to help you out with your SEO, it's not an assurance for really fast google appearance as you say it, but it somehow will lead you in the right way and last but not the least, have patience.
  4. If you've change your domain and have not done any steps to have your old domain pointed to your new one then I guess your new domain will be treated by google as new and it will be like you have to go back from the start of not having any link back on that new domain. I guess you should try to point your old domain to your new one, google will see your site directly as you are gaining backlinks already because of that old domain's back links. But that is if you have some.
  5. They've mention a lot of strategy above. If still you don't know what to do then learn how to do each of them or maybe try to hire an SEO for a month just for you to learn, if you're on a tight budget. But you can also hire someone to help make a difference on your site for 3 months but somehow try to learn on what that SEO is doing, that way you will have the capability to do it on your own one day.
  6. I tried to read your post thoroughly but can't get your point on your second stanza. What exactly is it that you mean?
  7. They are important for search engines.
  8. Try getting article submitted software to help you if you don't have anyone to do seo with you.
  9. Know what you need. First you have to sort out what are the website you wanted to posted at. What kind, must be relevant to help your site in ranking. Then learn how to say no to websites you think would not do you any good, like websites unrelated or having a link farm. Quality should come first, not quantity. Once you sorted out what I mentioned first then start exploring online for those websites you need and negotiate link exchange.
  10. Depends on what kind of output you wanted to gain.
  11. Yeah, please stick to the bigger search engines. In some way, search engine submission is not that helpful when it comes to ranking. Have done a lot of submission without search engine submission, it doesn't seem that I miss a lot on it. But somehow maybe that service offered you are talking might be directory submission.
  12. Portfolio makes client see what you've got and not listening to you speak and doubt on your words.
  13. Mine is $10 per hour, can be lower if it's fulltime.
  14. Depends on what are the requirements you have. Some client generalize ideas but somehow they seemed not to be that easy, then price has not been enough.
