  1. Thanks everyone for all your replies! All errors are fixed! Yet i still cant view in firefox. MrBrightside - I have changed the name of the file but this hasn't worked (i understand what you meant but don't get how simply changing the file name would work)
  2. Safari is fine but i am having problems viewing a site im building on firefox >>>> Website Also when i try validating this site it's showing me errors i really don't get! >>>>Errors Any help would be deeply appreciated.
  3. The Menu you designed is cool. Well done.
  4. Pretty bad. The logo is ok, everything is just screaming at me. Colours need to be alot more subtle. The background is awful. Im not sure why you have BILLBOARD MARKETING across the image - you shouldnt have any problems with people copyrighting this design.
  5. Pretty straight forward. Apart from the 3 images you have no visuals. I don't think the links look like a navigation at all, the fact you have them in green stands out. Would be nice to have these as buttons. There are hundreds of sites out there that have a similar layout but look a thousand times more appealing. Just an example of a screen displays Example Peace
  6. Ok, that's the craziest website i've ever seen. Something more professional: Injection <<< Quality
  7. My first reaction is that it's neat and tidy. That's always a good start! It could do with spicing up, there's just loads of text and nothing in particular stands out. the third box on the right where you have 'free' should stand out much more. Keeping the word 'free' also green is not a good idea. Clean up the corners on your white canvas, i can see them! Also why not try round the corners of the dark green canvas! Add some kind of texture to the background (on the very pale green) Has potential
  8. Love your flash stuff. One major crit i'd have is the fact that everything is big and chunky! If you could manage to make, especially the menu, more slick, neat and cleaner you would have a winner on your hands. Some kind of background (a gradient?) effect would be nice too, it would give your website more depth.
  9. I don't think it was
  10. That wallpaper strip on the left is disgusting. My grandmother wouldn't even have these hanging on her wall! If you remove the strip, everything is white thus no design to comment on. sorry.
  11. Helvetica all the way ! I hate Times Roman
  12. Not very impressed. Your sentences are way too long, may be helpful to divide them between 2 columns. There is about 5% design on this page. There are no design elements. I think the layout is week. If i had to sum up this website in one word: Lazy Hope this helps
  13. Hi Benni I like the soft dark kind of turquoise colour background you got. However, i think the logo is really unclear, you can simplify that much more making it look cleaner and easier to read. Navigating through your site i've noticed you havn't kept the same grid throughout, actually i don't think you have a grid at all! The way you've laid out the images on the 'canopies & awnings' page is bad. Almost childish like and extremely unprofessional looking. Basically keeping all the images on your site in the same proportion and aligning your text properly (not center aligned) and lined up properly, I think this would be a massive improvement!
  14. I prefere the rounded corners.
  15. It's a white canvas with some squares. Text. An arrow. You have an idea about using a rubix cube and thats fine but this, dare i call it a ''design'', just can't be commented on.
  16. You have the right idea. The one massive mistake in this design is that there is no hierarchy. When i saw the page i didn't know what to look at first, it's all over the place. The 1px lines you have separating the content is weak and not obvious enough, it's as if you don't even have them there. It's a real shame because i like your icons, they're just not in any order! The font on your logo is really dodgy! But like i said you have the right idea.
  17. mmmmmm.... It looks less than half way there. You potentially have a half decent colour scheme going on and you have chosen nice images. However in my opinion i think it looks far too plain. Comments about your navigation are spot on, I was unaware you had a navigation at first glance! If the client is looking to pay very little money for the site, then this design is spot on.
  18. lolz. I'm glad we agree on something!
  19. *Edit - What is a "London themed" contact area? I have no idea, no inspiration from London was taken from this design... The design I guess was inspired by my nationality of being half Scottish, half Italian... thus you see the large Scottish flag and Italian colours in the footer. This is what i meant. Maybe this was not your intention but it's what it reminded me of, 'London themed'
  20. wow. someone doesn't like hearing the truth. Mate, don't be asking for feedback then 'get annoyed' at certain comments. The fact that I was 'too afraid' to click on the rest of the site was because I could only imagine how cluttered the other pages are. The fact the i would not go further than the homepage is not good for you, your looking for potential clients and you will hardly get any work if they don't go past the homepage. Web design and development? I think you should just stick to the development side of things because you obviously have no concept of layout, colour, hierachy etc.... The only thing thats 'lame' is your inability to accept 'constructive citiscim' which is exactly what i was trying to do.
  21. It's a quite poor design Alistair. When i first went on the homepage i didn't know where to begin. I didn't know what i should look at first. Everything is just in my face shouting at me from all different angles. There's no colour scheme, no grid, no hierarchy. There's lots of small elements in your design that are really good, like your 'London themed' contact designs in the centre of the screen. My advice would be to remove 70% of the content and focus on elements that you ACTUALLY need! Was too afraid to click on other links so didn't even go past the homepage. You've got skills tho, there's non doubt about that!
