March 27, 200917 yr Hello everyone, I have almost completed my Driving instructor website I just want to know what you guys think, he likes the layout he choose. Also he wanted it red, so I used black to balance it out bad choice ? http://www.superdwayne.co.uk/Website/index.html
March 27, 200917 yr Put contact us at last and the red/black is oke for header but think you can better make the buttons black+ white and the menu just rest like the total site now its like a lost black box But it a ok website i think! dont use stockphotos btw greets
March 27, 200917 yr Author dont use stockphotos btw It's just for demonstration, I did not think I would have to state that.
March 27, 200917 yr It's just for demonstration, I did not think I would have to state that. i see look at this: changed the menu + smoothen the middle white piece ( less smooth on the buttons would be better but this is just a fast edit you can play with it) i think it looks better! hope it is helpfull!
March 27, 200917 yr That is just WAY too bright. It is also too plain and too old school. You can keep the same layout, but just by adding a different tone of red adding some nice graphics/illustrations it would improve dramatically.
March 27, 200917 yr "and the red/black is oke for header but think you can better make the buttons black+ white and the menu just rest like the total site now its like a lost black box" <-- I must say I like the rectangle menu buttons MUCH more than the rounded ones. "dont use stockphotos btw" <-- Stock photos can work fine on many websites. People in my opinion tend to give too many thing rounded corners, just because they can, rather than thinking about the structure of the site.

March 27, 200917 yr Hey I agree .... the red is way too bright for it all. I don't think simple is bad at all and can be very effective. You just need to soften it. Also I recommend Altering your text spacing a bit... looks way too cramped. Your testimonial needs better text spacing too and you need some padding there so it's not right up against the edges. Hope this helps
March 27, 200917 yr I think using a gradiant with the red would make a big difference and maybe loosing the red on the right side and instead use a small box with a red gradiant header and then the pic and more styled text for the testimonial. Like posted above simple can often times be very effective but I think one of the keys to simple is to make it seem full of information as opposed to little spurts and large empty spaces.
March 27, 200917 yr Author I really like the design on his car, why haven't you followed it thru? I thought about it and I have also sent it to him and I am waiting to see what he thinks of it, then I may mention it to him
March 28, 200917 yr Hmmm I agree with following his logo design style on the website. This may sound horrible but i really really dont like it, its to plain and need some serious work doing to it Sorry!!!
March 28, 200917 yr It looks bad... Really bad. The red starts to hurt my eyes big time after a couple minutes.
March 28, 200917 yr will be better when u will use for header page full width image and change left menu, and style of text
