  1. Hello fellow Londoner, welcome to the forum.
  2. You could just buy a cheap domain and pop your draft sites in different folders.

    I think what you're looking for is called 'tabbed content'. This a good article to get you started: http://www.sohtanaka.com/web-design/simple-tabs-w-css-jquery/
  4. That's what Wordpress advises you do but I've upgraded loads of times without disabling plugins so you should be alright. Just disable and then re-enable if a plugin doesn't seem to work.
  5. Glad you found it. The gallery is not a Wordpress plugin, just some old gallery software or a custom one I think. Better ones out there these days.
  6. Hello, it looks fine to me. Lots of html errors though.
  7. Hi ho silvers, The main gallery is not part of Wordpress, so they've got something else running it. I think you can use a plugin (get the image?) to include those thumbnails on excerpts, or custom fields.
  8. Wordpress is a good choice - just create a 'blog' folder in your root directory and install Wordpress following the instructions. You can use a free theme, paid-for theme or customise your own. If you want it to look like the rest of the site then you need to customise it. Check out Elliot Jay Stocks' starkers theme for a bare bones one you can build upon. A few others like this out there as well. It's worth learning how to customise Wordpress if you continue building sites. Great bit of kit. Cost-wise, I'd say anything from £500 if it's a very basic design and customisation, but you could easily charge a good few grand in some cases.
  9. Pop this in your css file: ul {list-style: none} ul li {margin: 0 0 6px}
  10. I used this jQuery plugin recently and it works a charm: smooth anchors Very smooth indeed.
  11. Hi Phil, I think it's because you've got your list items set to display: block; for the images - remove that or make it display: inline; and pop display: block; on the links instead. As for the footer, what is the correct way?
  12. I think it's because the browser is using its default styles. Sorry to criticise all your hard work, but if you're saying you're a web design company you need to rethink this entirely - you're using depreciated inline code for one thing (e.g <p align="left">) but the killer is that it's all tables. You just don't need them. The site's stuck in a late nineties time warp. I'd check out htmldog.com, some css galleries and places like smashing magazine, and start again - it'll be worth it.
  13. Do you have the code Seb?
  14. Hi Seb, there only seems to be one screenshot. And I can't see why you'd need tables here anyway? sorry, the other screenshot just appeared.
