Hi Guys,

 

I have installed ZenCart to test out how ecommerce runs.

 

However as i haven't used shopping carts before i am unsure on how i edit the pages.

 

Can anyone recommend a shopping cart that is simple for a small shop and a tutorial that goes with it?

Hi, Zen Cart, osCommerce and Cube Cart are on of the easiest platforms to run and customise in my opinion. Have a look at http://tutorials.zen-cart.com/ there's a lot of information as well as tutorials on how to do various things on that platform

 

If you are new to ecommerce, I would highly recommend Cube Cart or osCommerce, this is from experience and designing many ecommerce sites.

 

I use CubeCart, OSCommerce, Magento and Prestashop (the last two are quite tricky though)

Try opencart - http://www.opencart.com/ It is very easy to install and get up and running. Tutorial wise, read the forums and documentation.

I would say check out http://www.prestashop.com/ This is WOW.

osCommerce has the same structure with zencart. So I advise you to choose oscommerce. There are dozens of free oscommerce templates here.

As you said that you want shopping cart for small shop then i would suggest you os-commerce. IT is very easy and you can find many tutorials and videos on os-commerce installation.

I'd second PrestaShop.

 

Oscommerce is ok until you get stuck, and need to dig into the spaghetti code... *shudders*
