  1.    sash_oo7 reacted to a post in a topic: Need CSS Help - Will Pay
  2. With respect, I'm offering cash because I need help. Some people will accept, some will not. I'm a genuine person and I'm willing to pay for the help I receive. As far as I'm aware, it is not against the rules to offer to pay for help. Regarding your concern that we are a web design company charging for services, again - with all due respect - how the business is run is nobody elses business but our own. We're not as experienced as some, but what we can do, we do well. We are certainly not a company that charges over the odds for what is offered. When we need help, we're not afraid to ask for it, and when help is received that helps us solve a problem, a few bucks to the person offering that help is a sign of thanks, respect, and a nice gesture. That is all.
  3. I've found a fix for this.
  4. Hey guys, thanks a lot for your input. In the end, I found a portfolio plugin which has automated the process of creating a custom post type, taxonomies, CSS etc for me. I've made a bunch of my own modifications to it and it's now doing exactly what my client has asked for. Really do appreciate your help though.
  5. Hi Jack, There is no shop setup, and no ecommerce functions are required here. She will not be selling on her website. She just wants a page where she can feature products that she feels her followers would be interested in. I'm thinking it might be an idea to create a custom post type in Wordpress, and treat the product of the week almost like a portfolio. What I'm not sure how to replicate is getting the posts on the front end to be laid out like this: http://ilovelof.tumblr.com/
  6. Hey guys, A client of mine has asked me to implement a 'Product of the Week' feature for her website. Doesn't really need much explaination, she wants to feature a product each week, and when you hover on the product, it shows you a price and where it's from. She also want's a page of all past product of the weeks on her site, to be laid out like this website: http://ilovelof.tumblr.com/ Can this be done? Does anyone know of a plugin that might do this? Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers Conor
  7. Hi Daniel, Thank's a lot for taking the time to review my site, and indeed, for the kind comments. I've added a bit of extra padding in above the 'Why Choose Us' and the 'What We Do' headings, and will try changing their colour when I get into the office tomorrow. We all lead busy lives, so I appreciate the input.
  8. Thanks. I have made that change now. I appreciate your feedback today. :-)
  9. Hi, that is intentional. I should probably setup a mail forwarding address on the server rather than doing it in the code itself! Infact, shall do that now!
  10. Hi Seiko, thank you for the kind compliments, and for finding that bit that slipped through the net. I shall change that immediately!
  11. Hello guys, We've been working on our new company website for a few weeks now, and have recently relaunched. We went from a traditional multi-page corporate website, and decided to go in the direction of a one-page website for a couple of reasons. We stopped offering a pick-and-mix bag of different services and just concentrated on one: web design We wanted to get rid of all the clutter, be incredibly specific, and right to the point We wanted to invoke some personality into the website and it's copy. You need to, with a name like Metal Potato So with the site launched, I would love to have some feedback from you guys - users, web designers, copywriters, experts in your field. Please be brutally honest with me. If the site can be improved in any way, I am very open to the idea of making changes. www.metalpotato.com Thanks very much Conor
  12. Welcome to the forum dude. Not a bad looking site. I like the domain.
  13. Hey dude, welcome to the forum. I'm pretty new too and am in a similar situation to you. I've just bought a web design company, don't have a huge amount of experience, but hoping to get help where needed on this forum, which has already given me several fixes to problems.
  14. Hello Eve, I'm Conor, also new around here. I've just bought a web design company in the UK, have a little bit of experience but not massively qualified. This seems like a pretty decent forum though, been helped several times already.
  15. Hey Mohammed, I'm new here too. That's a nice looking website for your first try!
