Help with Php Signup Form!?
Ok so basically I am making a website that stores all the a users photos. I am only doing this to learn how to develop websites and learn about the various languages as I learn best doing things instead of just reading. Anyway I have made a sign up form and when the data from the form is entered and submitted it is sent to the mysql database but the information isn't going into the table in the database obviously because of my lack of knowledge and poor education system only teaching you the body and head tags of html at A-Level standard. I want to figure out this problem by myself and I'm sure with a little arseing about I'll get there but what I want help with is how can I get the signup page to redirect the user to certain error page depending on the failure. For instance if the information doesn't successfully go to the table in the database because of say, wrong field matches or something and also a page to redirect them to saying "Congratulations, you've successfully sign up to _____.com" if all goes well. Below is the php code in the signup.html page. <?php if (isset($_POST['submitted'])) { include('connect-mysql.php'); $username = $_POST['username']; $email = $_POST['email']; $forename = $_POST['forename']; $surename = $_POST['surename']; $password = $_POST['password']; $sqlinsert = "INSERT INTO users (username, email, forename, surename, password) VALUES ('$username', '$email', '$forename', '$surename', '$password')"; if (!mysqli_query($dbcon, $sqlinsert)) { die('error inserting new record'); $newrecord = "1 record added to the database"; } // end of my nested if statement } // end of the main if statment ?> I appreciate any help you guys give me. Thanks!

What if I wanted multiple <div>'s in the banner, how would I class them if there is the class="container" has already been used. For example one div will be at the very left of the banner and another div at the very right? Thanks

Web & Graphic Design Agency Names!?
Hello! Ok so I have been just doing graphic and web design freelancing for local company's and businesses while studying my A-Levels and want my own site for obvious reasons. I purchased my own domain and hosting in January and the domain was my name, but now I want to be recognised as a company, even though it is only myself (sometimes a friend of mine does helps out). I know that I should be creative and be able to come up with a name by myself but I have been trying for ages and am left clueless. I have tried to create a name that is easy to remember, contains alliteration, 2 words; first being an adjective then a noun and possibly using animals eg. Slimy Snail, Red Rhino . Those are just some of the techniques I have been trying to use. Lately I would love a name that incorporates "Star" as I have very nice branding and web designs for it. I also will need a .com or .co.uk avalible in this name. I want to stay away from using names that say "designs" in it or "graphics". Please post any suggestions below and all will be very much appreciated. Thanks! - Jamie Mcardle

Help with Banner!
Hi guys! First post so I hope I'm in the right section, also I'm very new to web design so go easy on the technical language please. Ok so I'm writing a site for a friend and I have set the width of the page to 800px as an attribute on the body tag: <body style="width:800px"> I want to create a solid colour under the links and logo for the top banner of the page so in the source code I put it all in a div as shown below: <div id="banner"> <img src="file:///C|/Users/Public/Documents/WebDesign/Cheater/webbanner.png" width="140" height="30" id="bannerlogo"> <ul> <a href="/Index" class="active">Home</a> <a href="/About">About</a> <a href="/Developers">Developers</a> <a href="/Advertising">Advertising</a> <a href="/Conatact">Contact</a> </ul> </div> Then on the style sheet I done this: #banner { background-color:#0071bc; } and it had this effect: http://prntscr.com/1a5rk4 Now what I need to know is how can I make this blue bar run the whole width of the users page so it doesn't stop at the 800px page width. I know I have done this in a very stupid way but I want to learn and get the knowledge how to figure these out myself. Thanks for reading and I hope you can help me! - Jamie Mcardle
