13,000 backlinks from one domain
If the site is reputable it shouldn't cause you too many problems. You could use the disavow tool to get rid of these links if you think it's going to cause a problem. Are they all followed? If so you might want to ask them to add a nofollow tag to the links?

Facebook Like-Button
It looks as though the code you've got it right. Although I did notice that in the error it says 'data-ref' whereas in your code it's 'data-href'. Can you confirm that the error is wrong and that you've actually got data-href in your code, as that's the correct one! You're right though in that you just need to include that second part of code wherever you want the like button to appear. The second error looks as if it's probably related to HTML5 incopatibilty. Try adding this to the top of your HTML file - <!DOCTYPE html> Let us know how you get on!

What would you prefer
It doesn't really matter in all honesty. You're going to be redirecting one to the other anyway. The main thing is being consistent. Whichever one you settle on, make sure you use it everywhere. Don't give some people the www. link and others the none www. link.

Help with Google Analytics
Is he referring to the average position of the site in the SERPS? If so this can be done via Google Webmaster Tools too! You can also use something like this -> http://tools.seobook.com/firefox/rank-checker/ To check your current ranking for any given keyword ./ keywords. Update them once a day and keep the results in a spreadsheet? Might be a good thing to be able to show them?

Pointing to hosting account issue
Are they keeping their email with the same provider? If so you can simply use A records in the DNS to point at 123-reg without using Name Servers. All this does is point at a web server for hosting, they don't affect email. Either that, or ask 123-reg to 'Pre-Populate' the DNS zone for the domain before you change the Name Servers. Technically you should than have 0 downtime. Hope that helps!

Best registrar for .co.uk & .com domains? - who do you use?

Which of those 2 domain names should I go with ?
I would personally go with the .co. It seems a bit more snappy and memorable. There's NO SEO difference between the two (as search engines see both as generic Top Level Domains (gTLD)). It's the quality of your site that matters. .co is gaining in popularity though. Google, Twitter and other huge companies are using them. They're becoming more and more recognisable and they're doing very well in the domain aftermarket too! I would say in the next 18 months or so .CO domains will be instantly recognisable and much more common. Just my 2c!
