I tested this on twitter... Spent £20 getting new followers and over 90% ended up being fake. It's hard to tell but the legitimate ones won't offer 1000 in a day or a ridiculous number. You are better looking for more reasonable like 100 likes in a day. Even better still, 100 targeted likes in a day. If it sounds to good to be true... It is.

Just to carry on this discussion a little and throw in my thoughts. I know so many people who buy facebook likes. You only have to go on fiverr.com and find the hundreds of people offering this service. It has good and bad points to both and it does depend on who you 'buy' off. So, there are some people with bots that will just pump fake accounts to your page. This does not really look that great as nine times out of 10 these accounts look s**t and you can tell they are fake. On the other hand it does boost the number of likes up (I speak about this downwards). On the other hand as people have said above, they might be part of a payment scheme etc etc etc... There is an issue with this as these likes are not targeted and most likely not want to buy your product and have no real interest in your business. But, there is a chance they might! I know someone who bought 14,00 likes in total from fiverr.com. They then promoted a webinar only using facebook and registered 800 people. I believe around 400 showed up and hen generated over $10,000 in 90 mins purely from these people. It can work! People who say that the number doesn't matter in my opinion are wrong. The fact is these initial 1000 you buy will most likely not make you any money but, people are idiots . People will see the number of likes on your page and immediately think you know what you are talking about (if you have some decent content on your page and it doesn't look too s**tty). The word expert is overused now-a-days but anyone can be perceived as an expert through social media and these generally are the people that make the money!! So overall it's not an awful thing to do but most likely will not make you any money.

Howdy, I have been using the same htaccess file to remove file extensions (.html, .php) for a while now but ran into an issue on the weekend. New site, had a contact form that had an action of contact_validation.php. Problem, with the htaccess file removing the extension from contact_validation.php, none of the form data was successfully being "posted". Question being, how are you removing the file extensions? (Without causing the same issue). Are you just using a new directory for every page (Never have liked this)? Sidenote: Don't have access to the file because I am at work so I can't post the example (not that you really would need to see it anyway)

Aha this is true. It has become infested with the 'I post "SEO can help you site become better notice on the Google" on any thread with SEO in the title' types aha You do make a fair point And your answer was one of the best on the thread so I suppose there is no problem. But the user has not been active since Feb 14th so i don't think he will see it :S I really posted this because as Jack said there has been so many spammers posting random stuff on threads from the bronze age and it has become annoying.

By the way you said "like i say very early stages, will probably look completely different in the end" it seems you disregarded what I said by not commenting on the feedback I gave and was just going to change the site anyway regardless of if we said it was good or not. Sorry if I got this wrong but your reply did not sound as if you really needed the feedback on said site.

Not being funny, why did you ask for opinions on it if it's going to look completely different? I would like to see it when it's done though so please repost when you have a near final design
