  1. Ok thanks, I've aligned them a bit better
  2. Thanks for the feedback, I looked up ShadowBox and it looks nice, thanks
  3. Well yes, because he said he's he can see alignment problems, but I don't see any.
  4. I can't see any problems with the alignment, what browser are you usng?
  5. Hello, I'm wondering how to make this effect in photoshop: Where the circles are joining together, kind of like cells merging/splitting. This image came from here for those of you who are wondering. Thanks in advance
  6. Hello, I've been making my new portfolio and would like to have everyone's opinion on the design and what I should change / add to it to make it nicer to look at / creative. I'm aiming for a clean and simple design, as well as it being creative. You can visit my website here. All feedback is appreciated. Thanks!
  7. I like it, I can't really find anything I don't like about it, apart from the header/title (Lewis Hill's Comic Collection), I don't think it fits in very well with the style of the website, try changing the header font to the same font as you did on the list of links on the left, and I suggest removing the blue link/underline decoration Great job
  8. The website looks great, I really like the style and the layout, one thing though, when I first visited the page I was confused because I didn't notice the navigation bar at the top, but that's only because I'm used to seeing a StumbleUpon bar at the top and it's the same color. I like the jQuery bits in there too and the textures.
  9. It looks good, I like the design, there are a couple of errors, like the PHP ones at the bottom of the page that was said above. And the slogan 'Website for young people by young people' I think you should remove the 'website' so it is just 'For young people by young people, because, well, it's pretty obvious its a website, and I think it sounds better But that's my opinion. Also, the information text I think is waay to big, you should put it at about 18px or something.
  10. Yeah I'm not sure what to change on the website to actually improve the look when adding more colours, that's why I've come here. And the header, it's meant to be like that, if you're talking about the Logo. Thanks for the feedback.
  11. Wow it's brilliant, it looks really professional =)
  12. I've recently been working on a new website that goes by the name of ColourJuice. You can check it out here. I made it using MVC3 and BlogEngine.Net, I integrated my website into the blog, and this is the result so far. I'm looking for people's opinions and suggestions on the site to help me improve it! Thanks in advance, Daedalus
  13. I've made this web design today on photoshop, I like it, but I don't like that there are just solid colours, no detail or anything if you know what I mean, I want to fill it up a bit more, maybe add a texture or something else but I'm not sure what. I want to try and make some of the bits of the website stand out more, like the header, and the content box, but I don't know any good techniques like that... Any replies are appreciated, thanks in advance
  14. I'm having trouble getting Galleria, a jquery plugin to work on my ASP.net MVC 2 website, I have absolutely no idea why it isn't working, I've even gone through the beginner guide on how to set it up on their website but I'm still having trouble getting it to work, when I load the page the following error is displayed: Fatal error: Stage width or height is too small to show the gallery. Traced measures: width:1000px, height: 19px. (I have no idea where it got height: 19px from, I haven't put that in the code anywhere!) Here is a link to my website so you can see what is going on: HenryNorthen.com Any replies are greatly appreciated. Thanks, Henry

  20. Alright I'll look at it, and sorry I wont go off-topic And do you know why CushyCMS doesn't work when I try to add my website with FTP?
  21. The host doesn't suck...really, it just doesn't use php, c# and mvc is better than php ^^
  22. I prefer the light logo on the left, its quite good, the only thing I think you should change is the flick on the bottom left side of the A, try to make it not as sharp, a bit smoother instead of going straight into a curve if you know what I mean. Other than that its nice
  23. ASP.net, C#, MVC, I'm certain it supports them, don't know which one I would need for a CMS though (I'm a beginner at this ) I have also found CushyCMS. It doesn't require PHP, I've registered on the website but when I put in my FTP details it says: But I am able to login to the web server using FileZilla
  24. Thanks for the reply! I'll check it out
  25. Have you tried using div_active? for example: .menu_active { background-image:url(images/active-link.png); } When you hover over the button it should stay active until you hover over another link. Hope this helps
