  12. bigger screen better multitasking, i ever use 27", basically i can put for screen of my laptop into it. so i can code, see design, browsing and im at the same time without need to minimize anything.
  13. as long as you not into 3d stuff, that would be enough. that already good for your work. unless you want to play the game with your laptop, i say go for it. if you using cs4 don't go for cs5, not much improvement, wait for further version.

  16. hey there, i myself not a good design, i mean for the graphic part. my approach try to make the design minimalist, but make sure it look not only simple but great. agree with slimboyfatz33, make sure you check some gallery, and my recommedation is minimalexhibit see how website, even without a single graphical image look nice too. hope that help
  17. everyone want to look different, but sometime better is already different. to find inspiration, i usually look at showcase site, especially cssmania. we need such inspiration, to create something truly unique is almost imposibble but you can try to think of something. the easiest way, is too look bunch of design from anywhere, and try to combine all into one and make it better. "Good artist copy, great artist steal"
  18. Well i currently designing my own portfolio, below is the sneak peak basically that the home page, basically there are about page and contact page below the home page, it just one page site. i love its minimalistic, but if you think i should add something, just shout. take note that the thumbnail is not web site that I design it just some website I take from cssmania. so hope you don't say I'm stealing or anything
  19. Mostly for designing, most of the time using windows 7 but sometime I need to work on plone, so I using fedora 13 if I need to work on it. Browser - main (firefox), but all other browsers are needed to check compatiblelity.
  20. Well, personally most of my current knowledge is self learn through experience. I did study in ICT field, but web design is just minor subject, so I whatever I need to know really is just self learn - from book, forum, blog and especially experience. As for me since I currently just design my portfolio it hard to get client for me to polish my skill, so what I did just create my personal project, it will take you time, without a return but trust me it will teach us more than any possible way we can learn. So basically, keep design or code, for clients or not, for fee or free because experience is the best teacher.
  21. My name is Izzat Aziz, I'm web designer from malaysia. I have experienced in web designer for more than 3 years.. but I start to seriously consider web design as my job (freelance) this very year. So here I am, to learn more about web design as job instead as hobby like I did before. One thing I hope from here that I can gain as much knowledge as I can give out. Thanks
